In Lending Services, we document, fund, and service all loans for First Republic. We’re also responsible for servicing investor and collateral loan portfolios, as well as responding to client and loan team inquiries. Lending Services provides operational support in streamlining workflow processes, driving product development, and providing training, lending compliance support, and professional development resources. Additionally, we provide operational risk and internal control oversight, support lending-based systems and vendors, and manage technology projects across First Republic product lines.

 

First Republic Bank is looking for a motivated person to join the Commercial Loan Servicing in a Team Lead role.  As a Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to utilize and develop your leadership and management skills as you lead a team responsible for daily processing of commercial loan maintenance transactions.  This includes monitoring and managing workflows through an ACD system within the Commercial Servicing department. Maintenance transaction include but are not limited to the following: payments, advances, change of address, updating system billing information, and all system adjustments as needed.  You will be responsible to ensure that First Republic Bank continues to provide the highest levels of customer service by successfully managing staff workload, maintaining optimal productivity levels and meeting service level agreements. Included will also be support functions within Lending Services ensuring optimal customer satisfaction where needed.

 

What you will do as a Team Lead, Commercial Loan Servicing:

  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Monitor team performance and oversee day-to-day operation.
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching.
  • Monitor and assign tasks in ACD queue and other Lending Service’s systems.
  • Assist Bank Loan teams in performing client support, questions regarding products, functionality, etc., providing options and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Accurately and efficiently processing financial and maintenance transactions to loan accounts.
  • Review loan documents, determine serviceability, and interpret loan terms for verification.
  • Review and validate loan details and accurately create and update account as appropriate in Commercial and Residential systems.
  • Work with internal business partners at various levels to research and translate account information into more understandable formats.
  • Work directly with clients to research items of various complexities while bringing situations to a successful and timely resolution.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities or as assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.); 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures; 3) completing required training; 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer; and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

 

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • 2+ years of experience with commercial loan and/or loan servicing desired.
  • 1 year of management experience with an emphasis on staff development, process improvement, customer service, and team building preferable.
  • Familiarity with the following loan products a plus: Term Loans, Lines of Credit, Commercial Real Estate, Construction Loans, Syndication, Standbys Letters of Credit, Eagle, and SBA Lending.
  • Must be able to successfully manage projects of a varied and complex nature.
  • Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, notably MS Excel.
  • Must possess the ability to work proactively and operate accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with variable deadlines.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with individuals within the organization at several levels, in addition to verbal and written interaction on complex items where customer/vendor interaction includes basic loan resolution.
