In Data & Client Insights, we are responsible for delivering accurate data reporting to help promote data fluency, improve client service, and inform business decisions across the enterprise. We aim to maximize the value of the Bank’s data to capitalize on competitive opportunities in increasingly sophisticated ways.

 

Enterprise data is a critical enabler of innovation and growth for the company. The data infrastructure is centralizing and curating critical data across the bank. A data discovery and access layer (SPOT) is being built with an emphasis on optimizing ease-of-use and consistency aspects of data consumption. We are looking for a product owner who will be responsible for delivering on the vision and roadmap of SPOT capabilities by working closely with quantitative analysts across various line of businesses, business Subject Matter Experts and data SMEs. 

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong data, technical and business acumen. The role requires ability to collaborate with a wide variety of partners, capture constructive feedback and start incorporating into product evolution cycle.

 

What you’ll do as a Vice President, Data Democratization Product Owner:

  • Drive the strategy, development and deployment of data marketplace - SPOT
  • Develop partnerships across the organization and engage in regular dialogue with key stakeholders to foster conversations in order to gain an understanding of the data challenges and opportunities from each business area
  • Perform deep analysis on existing data models in enterprise data marts and help developing a flatten view infrastructure that will re-organize the data to emphasize ease-of-use and consistency aspects of data consumption
  • Incorporate collaborative capabilities in the platform such that data consumers will be able to contribute back to incremental expansion of flatten views in a governed yet self-service model
  • Act as an analytics translator and help shaping the product roadmap by bridging the gap between technical views of data engineers and business outcome based expectations from data consumers
  • Continuously improve the solution offerings by extending the platform to integrate with wide range of data science related tools and technologies and aim to deliver the impact at scale

  • Self-motivation; looking for a highly driven individual with strong analytical and critical thinking skills and who applies business lens to product roadmap decisions
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills combined with an ability to interact with business leaders, data consumers and technology partners
  • Solid understanding of data infrastructure, master data management, reference data hierarchies, data science related tools and techniques etc.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive analysis and profiling of data with strong SQL expertise
  • Some exposure to technologies like Python, Tableau, Spark, Airflow, APIs etc. is a plus
