The Customer Service team provides operational support to First Republic clients, both external and internal. We move quickly to serve our clients’ needs so that their financial transactions are handled with ease and efficiency. The Customer Information File Specialist handles simple to moderately complex required new account document review, account association to existing imaged documents, system of record validation/correction, adherence to Customer Identification Program compliance, etc. Primary duties include providing a high level of client service, maintaining high quality work standards, meeting productivity goals, timely review of imaged documents, system verification, and ensuring all regulatory and bank security, policy and procedures are followed. Assist on special projects and implementation of department initiatives as assigned. Provide support to other departments as needed. This is a high-volume, accuracy-oriented environment working under strict time constraints. Requires previous directly-related work experience at entry.


Specific focus at this level will be related to retail deposit consumer and business account documents.  The individual performs recurring routine work and the supervisor frequently and closely monitors the end results achieved; including productivity and accuracy.


What you’ll do as a Customer Information File Specialist:

  • Primary Duties: Review and update client data, ensuring CIP compliance, and system validation/correction.
  • Daily tasks include reviewing requests within assigned queues. Documents may be reviewed for compliance against a prescribed criteria defined by internal bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Identifies questionable and/or non-compliant maintenance update requests and initiates communication for correction and follow-up.
  • Escalate issues requiring management disposition (i.e. recurring document exceptions, etc.)
  • Meet internal/external service level standards (i.e. Queue processing SLAs, quality/accuracy & productivity goals, etc.)
  • Complete project and tasks as assigned within allocated time frames and provide timely project updates to management.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of consumer & business deposit new account experience
  • Be very detailed oriented
  • A strong team player
  • Have excellent customer service skills. Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook a plus.
  • Working knowledge of OnBase a plus.


Job Demands:

  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
