In Lending Services, we document, fund, and service all loans for First Republic. We’re also responsible for servicing investor and collateral loan portfolios, as well as responding to client and loan team inquiries. Lending Services provides operational support in streamlining workflow processes, driving product development, and providing training, lending compliance support, and professional development resources. Additionally, we provide operational risk and internal control oversight, support lending-based systems and vendors, and manage technology projects across First Republic product lines.


First Republic Bank is looking for a seasoned business analysis professional to join our Lending Business Process Design team.  As the senior business analyst, you will partner with key Lending business users as well as other departments and stakeholders to identify and understand current operational challenges in order to collaboratively design and implement processes and interventions in a cost-effective manner.  Using your strong understanding of process, data, and custom application development, you will identify you will work with end users and business partners to document business processes and requirements, including, but not limited to, wireframes and detailed descriptions of user interactions within the system. You will also have the exciting opportunity to define an enhanced future-state process.


What you’ll do as a Senior Business Analyst , Delivery & Execution:

  • Identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency in strategic and tactical efforts
  • Design and document new process flows using industry standard techniques
  • Delve into raw data to validate the process, identify reporting gaps, and design new reports
  • Document business requirements in the form of use cases and mockups
  • Manage change using targeted verbal and written communications including, but not limited to, system mockups, demos, job aids, training, and release communications
  • Manage a prioritized list of enhancements
  • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities or as assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsibilities include the following: 1)adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.); 2)adhering to Bank policies and procedures; 3) completing required training; 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer; and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • MBA preferred
  • Consulting and/or lending experience preferred
  • Must possess 3 or more years of experience leading custom application development projects and/or managing enhancements
  • Must possess at least 3 years of practical experience in business process improvement
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in eliciting and documenting business requirements
  • Experience in Agile methodology strongly preferred
  • Must be able to quickly grasp the strategic direction and translate the same in tactical short-and long-term implementation plans
  • Must proactively engage with stakeholders to identify and propose solutions to business challenges
  • Must be able to successfully manage projects of a varied and complex nature
  • Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VBA)
  • Must possess strong analytical, process, and people skills
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess demonstrated organizational skills and a strong attention to detail

Job Demands:
