Eagle Lending is a business group focused on leveraging technology to bring in the next generation of clients to the bank. We offer five different loan products that we believe are phenomenal bridges to build relationships with our clients. The Professional Loan Program team is a key component of the Eagle Lending group at First Republic. 


First Republic has a long history of partnering closely with the Private Equity and Venture Capital industries, and the Professional Loan Program (PLP), plays a pivotal role in deepening our ability to serve our client firms and their needs. Through the Professional Loan Program, we offer tailored loan programs to enable employees of our PE and VC firm clients to personally co-invest into the funds being raised by their firms. Another component of PLP is offering loans or lines of credit to prospective partners at professional service firms, to finance their partnership equity purchases.

Eagle Lending is looking for an exceptional Professional Loan Origination Specialist. to process individual approved loans, ensuring all required documentation is obtained, the loan file is complete and reconciles with Program terms. Additionally, the Professional Loan Origination Specialist will be responsible for advances, payments and other critical transactions while maintaining and analyzing team reports. We’re looking for a self-starter who is eager to leverage their loan operations experience as part of our fast-growing and fast-paced Professional Loan Program (PLP) Team. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and is a clear communicator who excels at managing multiple priorities while working independently or as part of a team.


What you'll do as a Professional Loan Origination Specialist:

  • Manage assigned professional loan programs, ensuring loan files are complete, accurate, and prepared for booking. Draft borrower loan documentation and send firm/guaranty confirmation emails or adverse action notices when required.
  • Manage and execute the initial advance process, determine advance amount based on specific program parameters, obtain required internal approvals.
  • Review credit memorandums for any closing conditions and additional loan covenants. Work closely with the underwriting team to ensure certain credit requirements are appropriately documented.
  • Partner with Loan Administration team and legal to draft and receive customized loan documentation.
  • Manage the Professional Loan Program inbox by responding to inquiries from many key stakeholders and clients, accurately and within SLA.
  • Cultivate strong and positive working relationships with partners to maintain extraordinary internal and external client service. Partners include: Sales, Preferred Banking, Credit Administration, Executive Loan Committee, Loan Servicing, Legal, Deposit, etc.
  • Actively participate in continuous process improvement by generating suggestions and participating in problem solving activities.
  • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigne0d by supervisor


You could be a great fit if you have: 

  • BA/BS required with concentration in business or finance preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ banking/lending experience preferred, especially within closing or servicing.
  • Advanced familiarity with Word (mail-merges), Excel (Vlookups/pivot-tables/hot-keys), MS Access, Tableau, DocuSign, and UCC filings is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Analytical mindset with a proven ability to solve problems.
  • Flexibility to adapt and able to manage multiple assignments while working independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.


Job Demands:

  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
