The Customer Service team provides operational support to First Republic clients, both external and internal. We move quickly to serve our clients’ needs so that their financial transactions are handled with ease and efficiency. The Internal Controls Analyst is responsible for supporting the Internal Controls Manager with Deposit Services Internal Controls.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with communication between the line of business and internal/external auditors/examiners with all deposit related requests to ensure timely and accurate responses and supporting on time completion and implementation of operational changes as a result of audit, review, and regulatory issues to ensure effectiveness of the Bank’s deposit operations. 


What you’ll do as an Internal Control Analyst:

  • Supports management with Deposit Services internal audits/exams with the following tasks, but not limited to: Coordination with various Deposit Services departments on requested documents, analyzing documentation received for completeness and accuracy, follow up to obtain missing or extra information, formulating responses to internal auditors, timely communication between teams, etc.
  • Supports the Deposit Services SOX Liaison with the following tasks, but not limited to: SOX Control Narrative Assertions, coordination of requested documentation, walkthroughs, testing, etc., SSAE 18 Annual Certifications for Deposit Services.
  • Partakes in the Information Technology Risk Tracking for Deposit Services by obtaining monthly status updates, assist with coordination between Deposit Services and Information Security on issue resolution, preparing closing documentation, etc.
  • Supports the management of all open audit, review, and regulatory deposit related issues; including, but not limited to: Updating issue management repository, ensure on time completion and implementation of operational changes as a result of audit, review, and regulatory issues, produce and distribute Senior Level Management reporting.    
  • Work with the Deposit Services Risk and Compliance team on solution for integrating RCSAs (Risk and Control Self Assessments) with audit/exam issues management.
  • Actively partners with internal departments on behalf of the deposits line of business stakeholders to ensure timely communication between teams.
  • Able to handle a high volume environment of constantly changing deadlines without losing required high level of accuracy and production.
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities or as assigned by manager.
  • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word / MS Excel / MS Visio / MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of deposit related processing systems such as IBS, OnBase, Archer, etc. a plus.
  • Required: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in deposit operations or related deposit experience.

Job Demands:

Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.

Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
