Under the general direction of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, the Product Manager role is a leader who will be responsible for supporting the strategic roadmap, product development, and support of the Information Security offering. This individual will be responsible for conception, development, delivery, maintenance and evolution of the First Republic Bank security offerings. This leader manages large Information Security Projects in addition to small-to-medium programs of inter-related projects. The individual specializes in multiple areas, is extremely adaptable, leverages the First Republic Project Process and has the ability to manage multiple highly complex programs or projects. The role collaborates to define scope, requirements, project governance, design, testing, timeline and budget. The role requires exceptional communication skills and an ability to build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved. The Information Security Product manager collaborates with the PMO and associated business unit stakeholders to identify and manage the project pipeline for Information Security in alignment with the department’s roadmap. This individual will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders such as Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Vendor Management as well as 3rd party vendors in a fast-paced environment.

 

What you’ll do as a Senior Product Manager:

  • Work alongside senior management and key stakeholders to define the vision, scope, and technical roadmap for the Information Security offerings.
  • Effectively execute against the roadmap and provide on-going support to the Information Security offerings.
  • Meet with internal and external clients and integrate user feedback into the Information Security offerings.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight, management, reporting, and troubleshooting of products under management.  Drive products and intitiaves to completion while also ensuring compliance with Bank policy and standards.
  • Monitor competitive trends, evaluate relative product positioning, benchmark Bank relative to key competitors, and target areas for differentiation.  Leverage this data to influence the roadmap.
  • Optimize the services of our partnered vendors by effectively managing the relationships and their deliverables.
  • Champion Information Security offerings to key enterprise partners and senior management across bank.
  • Working in a hands-on way, successfully manage and deliver large and complex projects. Provide leadership on major initiatives, including vendor solution contracts, implementations and integrations, new product development, etc.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory, legal and industry best practices to maintain compliance and an appropriate level of risk, particularly related to internet security. Partner closely with leadership of Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Systems, Information Security and Compliance/ Legal to develop and recommend related risk management activities.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight, management, reporting, and troubleshooting of products under management.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements.
  • Serves as lead project manager on a company-wide, complex Information Security Projects as well as small-to-medium inter-related programs; defines and manages all aspects of project planning including scope, budget, financial forecasting and scheduling.
  • As the lead project manager, create and execute a company-wide communications and training plan, in partnership with appropriate stakeholders, to ensure solution adoption and effective organizational change management.
  • Determines resource requirements and procures resources; manages contract project and/or program resources.
  • Facilitates impact analyses of current/existing technologies on the project and/or program. 
  • Supports management in data gathering for regulatory and third-party reviews.

 

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • Deep experience developing and managing Security products, i.e. security tools, security assurance, security best practices implementation (7+ Years)
  • Experience working in Financial Services preferred (5+ years)
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Proven working experience in project management (4+ years) with a track record of managing all aspects of a successful project throughout its lifecycle, project risk management, and project financial management. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Understanding of key security concepts and best practices. Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and/or Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) preferred.
  • Understanding of cloud computing security practices. Certifications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner and Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals preferred
  • Proven working experience in product management with a track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Ability to work across multiple internal stakeholders, business areas, and external providers to develop and deliver high quality solutions (from ideation through to implementation.)
  • Strategic thinker in online and mobile with ability to execution and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Ability to look at key client needs coupled with the latest technology trends impacting consumer’s in the online banking space and translate into business requirements.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture and data process flows and exchanges
  • A strong team player and leader (Planning, Communications, and Managerial Skills).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to deliver presentations and coordinate across the firm. Experience soliciting, gathering, analyzing, user input and requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Provides extraordinary service.
  • MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred.

Job Demands:
