The Customer Service team provides operational support to First Republic clients, both external and internal. We move quickly to serve our clients’ needs so that their financial transactions are handled with ease and efficiency. As a Support Analyst, you will plan, design, develop, and implement reports and applications, while providing ongoing support to the Deposit Services organization within First Republic Bank. The functions in this job include Microsoft Access application development and maintenance, Tableau development, SQL development, and various report generation and analysis support. This position typically works under general supervision and effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures. The work associated to this role includes projects and tasks that are complex and varied to improve process efficiency and workflow.

 

What you’ll do as a Support Analyst:

  • Develop Microsoft (MS) Access database applications to provide efficiency, report generation, data analysis, and user interface visualization
  • Design and develop Tableau reports according to user specifications
  • Develop both scheduled and ad-hoc reports according to user specifications
  • Develop SQL and SQL-like queries in Snowflake, Denodo, and MS Access environments
  • Develop, maintain, update, and troubleshoot VBA programming logic within the MS Access and MS Excel environments
  • Document technical requirements, design, code, and test plans, for numerous projects
  • Track requests, projects, and miscellaneous workflows via ServiceNow and/or JIRA
  • Effectively communicate pros and cons of various design approaches to end-users to develop best possible solutions
  • Collaborate with end-users internal and external to the organization
  • Identify and recommend improvements and/or efficiencies to existing processes when possible
  • Manage multi-tasking, project timelines, and internal and external communications, effectively
  • Consistently deliver customer focused, high-quality output
  • Perform various duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor
  • Adhere to Bank policy and procedures and all standards established by Data Security

 

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • Expertise in writing SQL and SQL-like languages
  • Development experience in Microsoft Access, including VBA programming and relational database architecture
  • Development experience in Tableau reporting and dashboard creation
  • Advanced understanding in Microsoft Excel, including programming functions, calculations, and data analysis
  • Experience with Snowflake and Denodo
  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Experience with Monarch data scraping
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow and JIRA tracking platforms
  • Knowledge of IBS system and OnBase system
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support business units in developing solutions to meet business needs, improve performance, simplify manual workload, and manage data
  • Proficiency in developing, organizing, and maintaining documentation
  • Experience with working on multiple projects under minimal supervision
  • Ability to estimate work effort for projects to accurately project successful completion
  • Ability to take responsibility as a subject matter expert
  • Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing relevant technical and/or industry knowledge to other resources
  • Team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills within a professional environment

Job Demands:

  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
