Harnessing data to fuel service and inform key business decisions.
The Senior Quantitative Analyst will work directly with the Chief Data Officer & Deputy Chief Operating Officer and collaboratively with management, bankers, and internal teams to help the Bank maximize the value of our data by applying it in increasingly sophisticated ways to driving business decisions, improving client service, and capitalizing on competitive opportunities. You’ll produce novel, high-quality analytical work products and insights in a dynamic role that offers a frontrow seat to how Bank leaders think about and run the business. Duties & Responsibilities


What you’ll do as Senior Quantitative Analyst:

  • Conduct timely, opportunity-driven analysis to inform real-time, management-level decisions
  • Partner with leaders and engage stakeholders across the organization to quickly deliver business-aligned analyses, insights, and tools that advance organizational priorities
  • Lead nuanced strategic projects and studies, applying analytical models to critical business questions/challenges, resulting in thoughtful recommendations and/or innovative solutions
  • Provide thought leadership by translating insights and findings into actionable narratives and visuals (memos, white papers, slide decks, dashboards, etc.) to guide decision-making and action-taking at all levels of the Bank
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business to think proactively and holistically, identify opportunities, perform analyses, design tools, and execute effectively


You could be a great fit if you have/are:

  • 3+ years of applicable work experience (programming, data analytics, quantitative modeling)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Naturally curious; eager to learn and contribute
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, visual) with ability to distill complex concepts into simple narratives
  • Extremely effective at working both independently and collaboratively
  • Proactive, self-motivated, resourceful, and execution-oriented; requires minimal direction
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with and partner across all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines; able to change direction quickly; high-performer under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail, willingness to dig into the data, and commitment to accuracy
  • Superlative professionalism; operates with discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive material

Technical Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Advanced Excel skills for modeling and data manipulation
    • Ability to work with large databases and devise queries using SQL
    • Programming skills in prototyping languages like Python and Pandas
    • Ability to create dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, etc
  • Nice to have:
    • Familiarity with or fluency using Beacon
    • Understanding of the financial and operational performance data sets associated with Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, and/or Asset Management

Job Demands:

  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
  • Must be able to travel as position requires.
