The IT Project Portfolio Management (PPM) / Project Management Office (PMO) Lead is responsible for defining and executing the IT portfolio management and IT investment processes across the bank, working together and aligning portfolio management approaches with the overall bank PMO function.


Key outcomes the Lead  is expected to oversee and accomplish include:

  • Effective IT project portfolio governance
  • Comprehensive visibility and transparency into IT project portfolio and forecasts for all stakeholders
  • Thought leadership in helping to transform and evolve the PMO practice to embrace modern PM practices that ensure projects are delivered with maximum quality and agility
  • Strong leadership of a PM team that can effectively partner with all stakeholders and successfully execute on projects according to the PMO methodology


  • Maintain an accurate up-to-date view of Technology resource utilization on IT-related projects, feeding resource planning activities
  • Track, forecast and report on IT projects and project resource spending and investments
  • Develop and maintain metrics and measures on IT project performance, delivery track record, and propose continuous improvement opportunities
  • Run periodic IT project prioritization processes with IT leadership across Business Technology, Enterprise Solutions, Digital & Innovation and IT Infrastructure.
  • Set standards for how projects are run and ensure these standards are followed
  • Continually improve and adjust the portfolio management process to ensure strategic goals are met
  • Be source of guidance for project managers to help the understanding and adoption of best practices and standards. Coach and mentor project managers.
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
  • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsibilities include the following:  1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training,  4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer



  • 10 plus years of experience managing a large portfolio of projects including large and complex enterprise programs/projects
  • 5 plus years of experience managing a PMO at the level of the enterprise or a large division
  • Experience in a regulated environment preferred
  • Experience with Information Technology project required
  • Bachelors Degree or relevant experience
