First Republic Bank is seeking an Informatica MDM administrator and support engineer to help guide its MDM implementation and growth.  This support engineer shall report to the Manager and will play a key part in the Customer Info and Data Solutions team within Enterprise Business Solutions group of Information Services.  This multi-skilled resource must work well with key MDM stakeholders in both Business and IT.  The candidate should have in-depth experience with Informatica MDM both as an admin and support personnel as s/he shall be expected to assist with the maintenance of MDM-based solutions. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work with MDM architects to assist with MDM strategy, Process Design, and the implementation plan
  • Create and communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels on system enhancements and changes to the systems and processes
  • Provides support and maintains written resolutions to frequent problems as they relate to networks, hardware and software applications in use by Bank personnel.
  • Responsible for code migrations in PROD and Non-PROD environments including the performance and health of MDM landscape within FRB environment.
  • Monitor, investigate and perform root cause analysis of technical issues on the Informatica MDM platform. This includes all MDM components, e.g. batch data loads, SIF and custom java-based web services, IDD, ActiveVOS, Message based triggers, etc.
  • Liaison with the respective support groups for MDM on underlying dependent infrastructure platforms(e.g. Informatica ETL, IDQ, AddressDoctor, Apps Servers, e.g. JBoss, DB Servers, e.g. oracle)
  • Manage release builds, catalogs in multiple MDM environments.
  • Act in the capacity of L2/L3 support to address MDM related issues by supporting 99.9% SLA production services
  • Researches, resolves and responds to escalated trouble tickets and end-user support calls. This includes reviewing and resolving assigned trouble tickets and effectively communicating status and resolution details to ensure user satisfaction and productivity.
  • Establish and own the process of user access points to MDM Systems by working collaboratively with IS Stakeholders and perform and maintain audit metrics on MDM.
  • Collaborate with the development team by prioritizing, planning, and delivering a software product that meets customer requirements in an agile-development approach and fast-paced environment.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise within the MDM technology stack including but not limited Informtica MDM itself but also database, application server, front-end and other related issues
  • Manage basic complaints related to master data including liaising with the business contacts and external stakeholders to resolve issues and raise any escalated issues with direct report
  • Establish credibility at all levels within First Republic Bank and build problem-solving partnerships with the business and IT stakeholders
  • Assist in solving technical and performance problems within the technical infrastructure
  • Assist with the development of roadmap/methodology required to move from current state to future state architecture
  • Help provide expert knowledge of enterprise master data strategies and best practices, particularly those that apply to Informatica MDM


 

Qualifications

  • BS/BA -  preferably in computer science, information science, or other technical field
  • Minimum 8 years of computer systems analysis, consulting, and IT management experience, preferably in large-scale business software implementation projects (ERP, CRM, MDM, data warehousing, etc.)
    • Experience developing conceptual and physical solution architectures for solutions incorporating heterogeneous applications, technologies and platforms
    • Thorough understanding of data modeling, physical schema properties, triggers, and stored procedures
    • Master Data Hub Architecture, data design and implementation
    • Experience developing conceptual and physical solution architectures for solutions incorporating heterogeneous applications, technologies and platforms 
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on development/support experience with Informatica MDM (formerly Siperian)
    • Experience with supporting 99.9% SLA production services
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on admin experience with Informatica MDM (formerly Siperian)
    • JBoss EAP Administration experience supporting clients and troubleshooting problems in a large enterprise
    • Experience with Windows 2008/2012 and Linux deployed in a Virtual Environment (VMWare)
    • Understanding of various networking protocols and services
    • understanding of certificates, SSL handshakes, encryption
  • Experience should include but not be limited to:
    • Configuring the data model
    • Creating and refactoring the cleanse rules
    • Developing and tuning match rules
    • Creating trust and validation rules
    • Creating queries and packages
    • Creating hierarchies and other relationships
    • Developing the Informatica Data Director
    • Developing MDM-based web services using SIF
    • Developing custom components including user exits
    • Troubleshooting the Informatica MDM technology stack including database tier (Oracle), application server tier (JBoss)
    • Migrate new code from development into QA and production
  • Minimum 2 year of solution architecture work with Informatica MDM
  • Experience should include but not be limited to:
    • Soliciting & capturing requirements from business and transforming them to design for Informatica MDM
    • Soliciting & capturing requirements and developing or refactoring existing data models for Informatica MDM
    • Architecting real time MDM solutions where MDM is accessed and leveraged for operational use cases
    • Architecting solutions that feed MDM data downstream for analytics and other related functionality
    • Experience with data quality overall including standardization
    • Proven analytical skills to properly evaluate and interpret cross-functional data standardization requirements
    • Ability to resolve complex issues relate to enterprise wide data architecture concerns
    • Working style that exhibits high energy, strategic thinking, collaboration, direct communication and results orientation
    • Strong presentation, verbal and written communications skills
    • Experience with ETL (Informatica PowerCenter and/or Microsoft SSIS) strongly preferred
    • Experience with Informatica Data Quality strongly preferred.
  • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • May be required to lift 25-50lbs.
