The Mulesoft Engineer is responsible for the solution design, configuration, oversight, review, implementation and support for the Mulesoft Platform.   As an engineer you will upgrade the software, maintain runbooks, deploy updated solutions, and configure settings in the environment. You will provide on call production support on a rotational basis. You will create requests tickets for other infrastructure teams who create and support the Hardware for the environment.



  • Provide operational support for MuleSoft deployments and production incident response
  • Leverage infrastructure automation tools to eliminate manual effort, and to detect and resolve potential problems before they degrade using MuleSoft platform
  • Develop anticipated operational processes, practice exception handling as part of go-live integration processes
  • Periodically, review known issue list on MuleSoft Support Portal, modify the manual based on experience
  • Integrate MuleSoft platform monitoring with corporate standard tool to make it easier for the operations support staff; train them in using the tools and alerts; practice exception handling
  • Provide the diagnostics info to MuleSoft Support through the portal for expeditious recovery – configuration profile, monitoring details and current state
  • Define MuleSoft Infrastructure Upgrade policy and frequency

  • Requires a minimum of five years operations experience, including demonstrated knowledge using and/or supporting monitoring in an enterprise environment
  • Requires experience escalating incidents including working with cross-functional teams to resolution.
  • A strong background in Linux systems, including shell scripting and performance tuning
  • Good understanding of Internet technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, etc.)
  • Experience in Mule Clustering, Load Balancing & MuleSoft MMC
  • Experience working with the web standards relating to APIs (OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT, etc.).
  • Coding skills in Python, PHP, or another interpreted scripting languages
  • Experience using a configuration management tool like GIT/Bit bucket
  • Working knowledge of system administration and server commands
  • Understanding of data formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON
  • Understanding of typical integration technologies as in JMS, JDBC, REST & SOAP
  • Familiarity with general monitoring principles, as well as tools like Splunk, New Relic
  • Knowledge about the deployment and maintenance of Java web applications
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server environments.
  • Familiar with MSSQL, SSIS packages and Informatica Workflows.
  • Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting is a plus.
  • Self-directed: works independently and is able to fulfill job requirements with minimal supervision.

  • Assists Operations Control management increase departmental effectiveness by identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting superior alternatives.
  • Trains other staff in new technologies, methods or process, when required.
