Overview:

The Digital Technologies Online Banking IT team is looking for a Solution Design Lead. In this position you will help design end to end
systems solutions as part of the First Republic Bank’s Digital Technologies Online Banking Design team. The job will include reviewing
business requirements, performing systems analysis, creating and documenting high level designs, identifying test and implementation
strategy. Providing solution designs, you will help drive the direction across the entire consumer banking platform. Using your communications
skills, you will work with our business partners to identify scalable solutions that balance requirements and capabilities. You will collaborate
with vendors, internal IS and business groups to drive the delivery of solutions. As a member of the design team, you will provide guidance
and support for other efforts. The Solution Design Lead reports to the Digital Technologies Delivery Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end (conception, development, maintenance and evolution) implementation of consumer online banking solutions. Works as part of the design team to meet with business and IS teams to identify problems and define solutions. Partner closely with technical teams supporting data movement, application development and testing. Diligently support and lead where needed various activities between the teams to ensure the business and technical requirements and objectives are met.
  • Creates design artifacts following First Republic Bank standards to document the proposed design. These artifacts will be created by eliciting, analyzing, validating and managing technical requirements definition, flows and deliverables for projects Collaborates with the QA and UAT teams to define test strategy and acceptance criteria.
  • Provides assistance to support teams during troubleshooting and issue triage, helping to resolve issues and identify gaps that would need remediation.
  • Provide support during implementation planning sessions for defining strategies for rolling out solutions.
  • Drive technical excellence and implementation of best engineering practices.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to AntiMoney Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred.
  • Must have 10+ years of development experience with financial services applications and formal education with experience in Computer Information systems (or related field) and customer service.
  • Strong and proven technical skills across various databases including Oracle, SQL Server and DB2. Experience with ETL solutions.
  • Data Architecture, Modeling and Lineage practice and knowledge for data movement and sufficiency.
  • Information Technology Architecture and System and Data Integration knowledge and practices.
  • Proficient in agile software development life cycle – including requirement analysis, preparing high level
  • program technical specifications after analyzing business requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation and troubleshooting.
  • Supports the process of translating business needs into formal deliverables.
  • Performing technical maintenance and analyzing and supporting vendor developed applications and products to include debugging and troubleshooting the production environment.
  • Expertise in innovation and the ability to think strategically about how to advance businessled solutions.
  • Proven ability to build strong, cohesive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of prioritization and execution against critical deliverables, coupled with a sense of personal ownership for key projects / issue resolution.
