The Data Warehouse Production Support Team Leader will lead and mentor staff on daily operational and maintenance activities, configuration changes, disaster recovery preparation and documentation, and resolution of incidents and outages for Data Warehouse ETL jobs.


  • The Team Leader will serve as the escalation point for major incidents and representation of the Data Warehouse team to key business stakeholders, partners and vendors.
  • The Team Leader will provide guidance on production support of the Data Warehouse ETL jobs internally to the team and externally to other business groups in the Bank. The Lead will assign work responsibilities to the production support team.
  • Experience in a Data Warehouse 24x7 support environment with exposure to database and ETL technologies.
  • Experience partnering with development, QA and release management teams on ETL code development handoff and production release management activities.
  • Must have experience with managing onsite/offshore and FTE resources.
  • Adhere to ETL/Data Warehouse Standards and process and procedures.
  • Identifies and escalates any issues requiring Management assistance for effective resolution.
  • Ensures operational procedures are documented for execution consistency, relevancy, and auditability.
  • Contributes to annual reviews of team members and provides input to Management on focus of review conversations.
  • Responsible for documentation for Data Warehouse and Control-M Runbooks, Technical Specifications, Production Support, Root Cause Analysis for ETL jobs and end user communications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact positively with end-users, vendors, and management on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge and prior work experience in Banking or related financial services is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to direct teams in the work environment.
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
  • Responsibilities include the following:
  1. Adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.)
  2. Adhering to Bank policies and procedures
  3. Completing required training
  4. Identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 10+ years of production support experience in ETL Data Management, Data Warehouse, Big Data, Batch Schedule, SQL, Linux/Windows Platforms, Cloud and database platforms. 
  • Data Management Incident and Problem resolution Management for aligned LOBs. Ensure timely availability of data in the data warehouse or delivery of critical reporting with established SLAs.
  • Perform service transition from development to support.
  • Develop / utilize core data warehouse support tools and processes to improve day-to-day practices for delivery and service improvement.
  • Coordinate and work with the global production support team
  • Worked on mission critical environments that required 24x7 support.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field (or four additional years related work experience in lieu of degree).

 Physical Requirements:

  • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens
  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
  • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity
