The Online Brokerage team provides client service and administrative support to our brokerage clients who have an online account and handle their investments in a self-directed manner.

 

The Non-Profit Brokerage Specialist will primarily assist with the daily administrative & onboarding duties of the brokerage needs of Non-Profit banking clients of First Republic.  The responsibilities include brokerage client relationship, handling stock donation processing, and account maintenance responsibilities. The candidate will liaise with internal departments such as the FRSC Brokerage Trading desk, PWM Operations, FRB employees, FRB Relationship Managers as well as external clients. The candidate will also provide backup assistance to the Online Brokerage team members when needed, as well as assist in any Business Continuity Plans related to the FRSC Brokerage Desk.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Bank wide counterparts with Business development – Point person for non-profit clientele
    • Inquiries from business bankers, wealth advisors and portfolio managers regarding new opportunities for non-profit brokerage clients
    • Warm leads provided by internal referral sources – closing those leads to result in new account openings
    • Meeting with clients in person and over the phone to discuss the platform and it’s capabilities
    • Providing WebEx demonstrations of the platform and it’s functionalities (if/when needed)
    • Maintain and improve marketing material and presentations on the brokerage platform (internal & external) as it relates to non-profit business
  • Trading for Non-Profit clientele
    • Responsible for full-service trade execution (equities, preferred stock and fixed income products) with client via inbound or outbound phone calls (when donation is received) primarily associated with stock donations received by the non-profit client
    • Trading related inquires – Fielding all client inquiries as well as website questions regarding trading and/or the platform in general
    • Providing guidance to non-profit brokerage clients on the various products traded including quotes and factual information on securities
  • Client Onboarding - Responsible for Onboarding all non-profit brokerage relationships
    • Communicating with client on all documents required, sending out proper documents, receiving back documents, vetting documents for accuracy & completion
    • Following up with client for missing documentation and assisting with document completion
    • Perform KYC (know your client) procedures on non-profit brokerage client and submit for account opening
  • Client service - Center point of contact for all client service related issues for the platform
    • Website training / questions (guiding clients on how to use website)
    • General account maintenance updates (address, email, contact, employment)
    • DTC Stock Transfer updates – Monitoring for donations and providing updates to non-profit brokerage clients
    • Money Movement requests (ACH, Wires, Journals, Banklinks,)
    • Client verification (calling back clients to verify identity)
  • Client Onboarding – Assist with onboarding all Online Brokerage accounts
    • Communicating with client on all documents required, sending out proper documents, receiving back documents, vetting documents for accuracy & completion
    • Following up with client for missing documentation and assisting with document completion
    • Perform KYC (know your client) procedures on non-profit brokerage client and submit for account opening
  • Client service - Center point of contact for all client service related issues for the platform
    • Rollover questions (401K to IRA’s)
    • Year-end 1099 questions
    • Website training / questions (guiding clients on how to use website)
    • General account maintenance updates (address, email, contact, employment)
    • DTC Stock Transfer requests (Donation requests, ACAT transfers, DRS-transfers)
    • Money Movement requests (ACH, Wires, Journals, Banklinks, IRA Distributions)
    • Client verification (calling back clients to verify identity)
    • Securities trading (equities, mutual funds, options & fixed income)
  • Miscellaneous project involvement
    • Assist as needed with project coordination or task implementation
  • Business Continuity Plan (BCP) support
    • In the case of a BCP event, assist NY BCP trading representatives in daily support - in back up capacity
    • Responsible for daily Money Market Reconciliation Trading

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of financial services experience at a premier brokerage firm, experience with Non-profits, collateral loans and client service a plus
  • 2 years of experience dealing directly with investment trade operations and trading, including equities and fixed income
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • Series 7, and 63 licenses preferred
  • Proven history of providing extraordinary client service
  • Ability to further the First Republic Bank culture and values
