    First Republic’s “Operations Analysis & Process Improvement” (OAPI) office works across the enterprise to support identification and resolution of operational inefficiencies or enhancement opportunities. The team will work collaboratively to drive improvements to client experience, operational efficiency and risk management as part of the Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Initiative, and operational readiness for certain critical implementations in the Bank’s IT & Ops Roadmap.

    This position reports to the Program Manager, Operations Analysis & Process Improvement (OAPI). This Program Manager (PM) will partner with various functional groups to identify and implement opportunities for Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This role will be responsible for executing and maintaining a sustainable and scalable RPA program including, but not limited to the identification and prioritization of ‘bot’ use cases, development and deployment as well as maintenance and monitoring.

    The PM will own all aspects of the execution of each ‘bot’ use case. This includes collaborating with process owners to gather and analyze as-is and to-be RPA processes, translating requirements into process improvement and process re-engineering, overseeing development and testing and working with Information Services and other appropriate stakeholders to successfully implement and demonstrably improve the process. The PM will also be responsible for change management within the ‘bot’ environment – including but not limited to capacity optimization. The PM will also report and track success metrics on a regular cadence.

    This role requires a deep understanding of system functionality, training skills, ability to communicate with stakeholders at every level, and how to build/replicate/improve required/desired functionality for the client/stakeholders to drive adoption and future development of the solution.


    • Work with various functional groups to identify opportunities for process improvement. Perform detailed analysis for enhancement – existing workflows, fit for purpose or feasibility assessment, gap assessment (incl. risk and control), identify improvement opportunities and potential solutions, and perform cost benefit analysis where appropriate. Collaborate with project teams, business and technology partners to jointly and comprehensively identify business requirements.
    • Once an opportunity moves into the implementation phase, own all aspects of implementation including process re-engineering, overseeing development, collaborating with Information Services team for deployment management, reporting and tracking.
    • PM is also responsible for :
    1. Performance management (process and program level)
    2. SLA adherence.
    3. Compliance requirements (Regulatory and Internal)
    4. Upgrades / bug fixes / change management.
    5. Documentation (PDD / SDD)
    6. Program governance.
    7. Reporting (process and program level)
    • Own all aspects of bot management:
    1. Execute and maintain an end-to-end bot operating framework that includes but is not limited to bot development, testing, management, upgrades, and deployment – including change management protocols.
    2. Ensure bots meet all applicable business requirements and Bank’s policies including governance/regulatory requirements through engagement with the Bank’s second and third line of defense.
    3. Work with technology partners within each functional group to manage bot lifecycles for each use-case.
    4. Ensure optimization of both SLAs and overall virtual workforce.
    • Ensure business requirements are being met with the delivered business functionality of vendor and/or internal technology solution and highlight differences and potential changes/solutions.
    • Develop and communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally and through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
    • Additional responsibilities include the following:
    1. Adhering to and complying with all applicable federate laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.)
    2. Adhering to Bank policies and procedures.
    3. Completing required training.
