Responsible for the daily review of suspicious transaction related to check clearing activities as assigned.  Perform research using exiting tools to analyze suspicious transaction.  As needed, communicate with clients, banking offices personnel, Relationship Managers and Fraud Team to validate finding.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Duties:  Be able to analyze suspicious transactions, using existing tools, and communicate as needed with clients and business partners.
  • Completion of research requests, subpoenas for records and bank by mail processing.  
  • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by manager, supervisor or Team Lead.
  • Responsibilities include the following:  1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training,  4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

Qualifications

  • At least one year Fraud Analysis or 3 years back office Item Processing experience.
  • Excellent Client Services Skills.
  • Excellent Communicator both verbal and written.
  • Attention to details and risk mitigation skills required.
  • Ability to review and analyze data and apply judgement or escalate as appropriately.
  • Organized and Self-motivated.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must.
  • Familiarities with Federal Reserve check clearing, returns and processing guidelines.
