About the Role: 

The Eagle Lending Business Analyst is responsible for the requirements gathering and implementation of various projects across Eagle Lending. In the immediate term, this individual will work almost exclusively on an unsecured loan application project with the opportunity to expand in Eagle Lending. The candidate must be able to identify and investigate problems outlined by the business and technical teams, then drive towards solution implementation. The candidate must have experience with software implementations, including disruptive technology and iterative methodologies (Agile, Scrum). The ideal candidate will have a solid blend of technical and personal/ negotiation skills and a team player.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead business analysis effort for major software development and integration projects.
  • Identify and work through ambiguities, then write and update relevant artifacts such as requirements, solutions architecture, activity/ workflow diagrams, use cases and data dictionaries.
  • Participate in requirements gathering specification sessions for Eagle Lending projects. Identify deliverable assets and content, and ensure that business/ stakeholders provide correct and accurate information in a timely fashion. Identify standard or reusable requirements.
  • Act as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams. Interface with vendors and third-party partners.
  • Partner with UI/ UX and Marketing teams to ensure that the products represent the business effectively.
  • Understand business process management and business requirements of the customers and trace them to specific software requirements.
  • Collect, evaluate and compress data and information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts and differentiate between actual and required user needs.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory, legal and industry best practices to maintain compliance and an appropriate level of risk, particularly related to internet security. Partner closely with leadership of Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Systems, Information Security and Compliance/ Legal to develop and recommend related risk management activities.

Qualifications

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Education/work experience:

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 5+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst, preferably with financial systems experience. Experience with lending products is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, from initial business requirements to application sunset.
  • Willingness to work in a demanding, dynamic, ever changing environment
  • Solid background in technical documentation writing and editing
  • Experience working with diagramming tools
  • Experience working with mobile applications (for phones, tablets, and phablets)
  • Strong understanding and experience in executing complex software projects in the enterprise environment.

  • Proficient with business analysis, planning, and decision making
  • Very strong analytical skills across diverse business disciplines – financial, organizational behavior, statistical
  • Strong business orientation with broad experience with banking processes, technology and change initiatives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
