    About the Role:

     

    The Business Operations Associate is a highly visible role within Eagle Lending, First Republic’s Fintech center and fastest-growing business unit. You will be joining the Student Lending team in our office in San Francisco's Financial District focused on bringing in the next generation of clients. In this role, you will be a key business resource for the Business Operations and Product Management teams and will own a wide range of strategic, operational, and technology projects. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Technology to identify business insights and act on those insights. The ideal candidate is skilled at synthesizing complex concepts into a simple message, getting deep into data to drive key analyses, and fostering change through a collaborative approach.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Drive strategic growth projects across the business from solution development to execution
    • Define and drive analyses aimed at developing a deep and holistic understanding of business performance, growth drivers, and trends
    • Implement new operations processes and identify technology features that will help the business scale efficiently
    • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to key stakeholders, including lending partners and senior executives
    • Keep your finger on the pulse of the business to ensure it is operating as successfully as possible, stepping in to help drive improvements as needed 

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of work experience at a management consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm and/or technology company
    • BA/BS degree

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with large datasets (SQL is a plus)
    • Concise communication with the ability to credibly and compellingly present and discuss recommendations
    • Practical business understanding with genuine passion for technology, data, and innovation
    • A self-starter who is independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, operating in ambiguity, and delivering results
    • High-energy, team-first attitude with motivation to work hard in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business
    • A team player who works collaboratively and effectively across a diverse set of functions, backgrounds, and working styles
    • A top performer who can corral a group to execute against an initiative while rolling up his or her own sleeves
    • Excited about First Republic and fintech — and ideally, driving growth to meet clients’ financial goals
    • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
