Overview

First Republic Bank is looking for a talented, motivated lending professional to join our Residential Loan Origination Support team.  The ideal candidate is a dynamic person who is able to inject energy, run and deploy programs as well as lead change management. As a Loan Origination Business Support Manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to support Residential Loan Origination end users by continuously analyzing loan processing and underwriting functions within First Republic's relevant systems in order to communicate business requirements, identify efficiencies, and make suggestions for operational improvements. You will help support any Change Management Initiatives including but not limited to: paperless workflow, New Lending Origination System, & Pipeline Management.  You will also assist with other daily departmental production tasks such as providing client care to the Bank's Residential loan teams, organizing  and maintaining production reports, and completing other administrative functions as needed.  Utilizing your strong data collection/analysis, reporting, and training skills, you will be a key factor in ensuring that the Loan Origination Support team realizes its strategic business goals.

Responsibilities

Additionally, you will:

  • Drive the implementation of system and process changes
  • Reach out to Business, actively soliciting feedback in order to assess needs and develop programs to ultimately provide better end to end service.
  • Think critically about needs and lead the effort with creative solutions
  • Monitor new lending products or changes to existing lending products to gauge impact on department systems. Advises department of amended processing requirements.
  • Manage and monitor open lending systems projects:
    • Provide channels for regular and effective communication between team members and management.
    • Schedule and facilitate project and other departmental meetings.
  • Provide, when necessary, assistance with production-related residential loan tasks such as:
    • Issuing initial consumer mortgage loan disclosures.
    • Processing loans
    • Assist in pipeline management tasks
  • Assist with various regulatory monitoring and audit tasks as needed
  • Provide client care to loan team support
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities or as assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.


 

 

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least 3-4 years of experience in loan origination and/or closing/funding.
  • Must possess working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of residential loan origination processing and/or servicing systems preferred.
  • Must be a proactive individual able to operate efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be a quick learner and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must possess a proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess demonstrated skills in organization and strong attention to detail.
  • Provides extraordinary service.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
