Under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering, the Project Manager role manages small-to-medium IS Sponsored Projects and/or department projects. The role requires experience as a project manager and formal training or certification as a project manager. The role requires familiarity with IT and/or banking operations. This individual must be able to quickly learn and adapt to a complex business model while partnering with peers, business units, and management to ensure a successful delivery of the project.


  • Oversees all aspects of a project in support of an overall program and/or manages small-to-medium projects or department projects within an overall program.
  • Defines and manages scope, budget, timeline, and resource requirements.
  • Identifies project risks and collaborates with the project team and management to mitigate project risks.
  • Provides cross-functional communication and coordination.
  • Collects business and technical requirements in collaboration with business and system analysts.
  • Complies with enterprise project management standards.
  • Monitors project execution and escalates project issues as necessary.
  • Maintains project website and database, and issue and risk tracking logs. 
  • Documents project decisions and project meetings.
  • Maintains a flexible work schedule.
  • Perform other duties when assigned.


  • Four year degree or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications. 
  • Five or more years of project management experience required.
  • One to three years of experience including a broad understanding of both IT concepts and banking processes.
  • Demonstrated track record in leading multiple teams through both overlapping and sequentially related projects.
  • Demonstrated strong customer focus and client relationship building skills
  • Requires expertise in MS Office, MS Visio, and MS Project.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Formal project management training or certification preferred.
  • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
