The Sr. Client Systems Engineer – Mac position is responsible for deployment and management of Macintosh and Apple client endpoints. This includes defining systems and end-user requirements, formulating work plans for successful rollouts and executing these work plans. This position is also responsible for documenting support requirements and training the other team members. The Sr. Client Systems Engineer – Mac will mentor first-level Client Systems Engineers and ensure that the team is providing expert and creative client endpoint management solutions and troubleshooting techniques, as well as serve as a Level 3 resource for end-user incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for enterprise-wide Mac client endpoint management including: End to end management of Mac desktops and laptops including patch management, antivirus management and software deployment; Own and resolve Mac workstation tickets that are escalated to Workplace Technology from End User Service; Manage software solution stack, setup, and deployment methodology for Mac infrastructure; Help manage software licenses for Mac workstations.
  • Responsible for software distributions including: Coordinate packaging and distribution of software applications; Designing test plans for software applications on all client endpoint images and coordinating with QA to ensure appropriate testing;Completing necessary debugging procedures to rollout applications error-free; Developing support procedures and related documentation, and training the Workplace Technology team in the use and support of new products and systems; Working with IS Purchasing, Information Security, and Access & Identity Management teams to ensure all regulatory, licensing, and security procedures have been followed.
  • CIS policy deployment and management for Apple clients
  • Works with end-users to assure accurate definition of technical requirements and fulfillment of assigned projects.
  • At the direction of management, oversees deployment projects and assigns tasks to project team members.
  • Proactively reviews and resolves assigned escalated trouble tickets from Technical Support. Also effectively documents and communicates the resolution of end-user problems to the designated Technical Support team members to ensure user satisfaction and productivity.
  • Creates and updates technical documentation to be used by Technical Support and Workplace Technology teams.
  • Participates in disaster recovery and business continuity tests by performing documented recovery procedures and troubleshooting issues that may be encountered.
  • Responsible for guiding Workplace Technology team members in providing creative solutions to end-user problems, questions, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proactively researches and tests new Apple technologies, and acts as a coach and mentor to first-level Client Systems Engineers. Perform other duties when assigned.
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities. Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.Critical features of this job are described under the items above. Qualifications

  • Requires experience using JAMF automated software distribution and packaging software tools.
  • Requires experience with a variety of application delivery mechanisms, installed and executed locally.
  • Requires expert knowledge of Apple Macintosh operating systems.
  • Requires experience with various virtualization tools, such as VMWare Fusion or Parallels Desktop.
  • Familiarity with Proxy configuration, 802.1x, DLP and Virus/Malware Protection Applications. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • Certified in ACMT (Apple Certified Macintosh Technician) or ACTC (Apple Certified Technical Coordinator), Certified JAMF Casper Technician (CCT), Administrator (CCA) or Expert (CCE) preferred.
  • Requires demonstrated knowledge of application testing environments.
  • Requires experience automating manual processes using scripting/testing tools.
  • Requires demonstrated knowledge of network topology, routers, switches and network protocol.
  • Requires working knowledge of Bank supported Desktop operating systems (Microsoft Windows 7), and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Requires functional knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Active Directory Policies.
  • Requires familiarity with project management principles.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to clearly define projects, objectives, goals, schedules, and assignments.
  • Must be a team player and possess the ability to work effectively with business personnel at all levels as well as with outside vendors and contractors.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, follow written policies and procedures, and maintain superior customer service at all times with all users.
