We are looking to hire a Fixed Income Operations specialist who will serve as a point of contact between the Fixed Income Group of First Republic Investment Management (FRIM) and compliance, audit, and FRIM management. The role requires assisting Fixed Income and Research management with monitoring and complying with regulatory and firm requirements related to trading, portfolio management, and fixed income credit research. Work product includes statistical analysis, data analysis, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Prepare new, and update existing, portfolio monitoring reports related to fixed income trading, including Volker compliance and best execution assessment.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of, and data acquisition for, assessing fixed income portfolio compliance with requisite Investment Policy Statements.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of, and data acquisition for, assessing fixed income portfolio compliance with best practices as outlined in Fixed Income management guidelines.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly reporting for FRB Bank Portfolio, including reporting utilized by bank managers.
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to Fixed Income functions & activities.
  • Perform other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by immediate supervisors

 

Qualifications

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with an emphasis on finance, accounting or economics. MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Minimum three years, five preferred, work experience in fixed income markets, either in a reporting, audit or data management capacity. Experience with trade operations a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of processes and controls required, especially prior experience with auditing, compliance or reporting with respect to domestic fixed income.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities under pressure.
  • Ability to quickly process and analyze large amounts of information.
  • Sound judgment and ability to reason.
  • Power user of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Bloomberg. Experience with SQL and VBA desirable.
  • Experience with portfolio operations, including trade order, flow, portfolio accounting, and reconciliation desirable.
  • Collaborative, enjoys working in a team environment. An attitude of service is required.
