We seek to hire a highly motivated professional to join our Los Angeles-based Altair team as an Operations Associate. The role will focus on activities surrounding the core operations of our alternative investment business and fund processing. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and devoted to continuous improvement.




  • Assist with management and processing of investor subscriptions and redemptions in firm's private placement investment funds.
  • Work closely with third-party fund administrator to oversee and monitor their operations.
  • Help manage communications to investors in funds (capital call notices, distribution notices, quarterly commentaries, etc.).
  • Handle administrative matters relating to the funds.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of private funds' financial statements.
  • Address any ad-hoc questions related to the funds, their operations, performance, audit, tax, etc.
  • Assist in technological testing, new system rollouts of new technology to clients and our administrators, providing critical feedback.
  • Liaise between the client servicing team and the fund administrators with any questions or issues that may arise.
  • Century City Mail review in compliance with FINRA requirements.
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
  • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.


Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank

Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge is programming languages (SQL, C#, Java, VBA)
  • Data harmonization/consolidation experience preferred
  • Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
  • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel as position requires.
  • May be required to lift 25-50lbs.
