    The Open Stack Application Developer will be responsible for developing web API solutions on top of existing database structures. The Developer will be responsible for migrating existing ETL and processes onto the AWS platform, using a combination of Dynammo DB, RDS and Redshift. The developer will interact with business users, development and testing teams in planning, developing business requirements, data mapping documents, test cases and test scripts. Other duties include adhoc report building using Tableau, Plotly, SSRS tools.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Design and develop data movement and transformation using Spark SQL, Python and MS-SQL stored procedures.
    • Enable data visualization for business users via Web APIs using NodeJS, JS Angular or ELM
    • The ability to iteratively develop reporting and data solutions in an agile fashion.
    • Responsible for developing solutions for applications based on AWS Cloud Platform.
    • Maintain API solutions and changes for both the API and underlying Databases.
    • Deliver working and tested software solutions using test driven development methodologies to meet release schedules for all products.
    • Must have strong knowledge of API lifecycle management platforms.
    • Role would also involve supporting the APIs developed after they are deployed in production.
    • Migrate existing SQL Server infrastructure into AWS RDS.
    • Maintain Amazon Dynammo DB databases for API usage.
    • Perform ETL and ETL loads into Amazon Redshift.
    • Engage and direct business partners and subject matter experts to identify priorities, scope, and requirements for complex business problems
    • Provide documentation (Data Mapping, Technical Specifications, Production Support, data dictionaries, test cases, etc.) for all projects.
    • Respond quickly to bug fixes and enhancement requests and be able to take directions and complete tasks on-time with minimal supervision.


    Additional Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Attends meetings as required.
    • Supporting production reporting systems.
    • Perform other duties when assigned.
    • Adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US Patriot Act etc.)
    • Adhering to Bank policies and procedures



    Experience/Skills Required:


    • 3-5+ years of experience in API development and API implementation
    • 2-4 Years of AWS implementation experience.
    • Proficiency in Python, SQL scripting and Javascript is a must.
    • 1-3+ years of banking or financial services industry experience is preferred
    • Experience in migrating Oracle and SQL Server relational database to AWS RDS
