The Director of Mobile Delivery is responsible for overall technical delivery of mobile solutions across Consumer, Corporate and Wealth Management. He/she will oversee mobile delivery within the development team while also leveraging an extended team in internal and external development.


The candidate will provide technical and project leadership across technical design, development of API’s and the Mobile App along with any other required system development needs to execute against the Mobile Roadmap. This role will deliver on-time / on-budget high quality mobile experiences following mobile development best practices in the enterprise environment.


  • Establish and maintain strong partnership with the business owners/product owners. Provide the point of accountability to the Business Owner.
  • Work with Business Owners/Product Owners and system leads to logically design and negotiate solutions and participate in the long-term planning for products.
  • Ensures commitments are met while providing high quality and cost effective systems that meet customer’s expectations.
  • Identify and develop support for new opportunities (operational efficiencies, new product features, enterprise integration, etc.). Validate technology aspects of competitive threats.
  • Provide technical guidance for the development teams and architects.
  • Mobile API development: SOAP and REST API
  • Native mobile app design and integration support (iOS and Android)
  • Create and maintain a strong working relationship with multiple business teams, technology teams and key vendors.
  • Responsible for managing, developing and appraising the matrix structure delivery team, ensuring teams are highly motivated & focused on delivery (including co-operation/co-ordination cross-teams on other related projects).
  • Work with the application support team and external vendors to ensure all applications are supported according to their SLAs.
  • Keeping up-to-date on new technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to rapid changing digital environment. 
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
  • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.


  • Bachelor’s degree; and 10 years direct experience in software development; and 5+ years in mobile solution and implementation.
  • Experience in developing infrastructural libraries and RESTful APIs used by other development teams.
  • Experience in a technical lead /architect role, including ability to evaluate and communicate pros / cons of various mobile development approaches.
  • Experience with mobile application development platforms / frameworks / tools, such as Xamarin, Appcelerator.
  • Experience in Java Script frameworks experience (Angular JS, JQuery, others).
  • Experience in Native Mobile app development ( Android, iOS or Window devices)
  • Proven ability to plan and manage a large-scale, long-duration software development projects.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work strategically
  • Experience working with the Agile/Scrum project management methodologies.

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
  • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
