    The Associate Product Manager - Digital Channels is responsible for delivery and maintenance a of the Bank’s consumer banking products. This individual is responsible for detailed analysis, use case definition, requirements gathering, test planning and execution, process design, and professionally presenting findings (high-quality materials and presentation). Concentrating on the suite of products and services that comprise the Bank’s digital consumer banking solutions particularly account information and several other features. This individual will work cross-functionally with multiple project teams, front line producers (Business Bankers, Relationship Managers, and Bankers), clients, technology, operations and vendors.


    This role will work directly with a Senior Product Manager within the Digital Channels team at First Republic.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop a detailed end-to-end understanding of the applicable digital services offered by the bank, and related technical and process infrastructure. Includes the understanding and development of detailed use cases and documentation of client interactions and related system processes/ interfaces. Includes working as an effective liaison between the front office, business units, operations and technology to ensure that client needs are addressed while maintaining alignment to the Bank’s goals and strategy.
    • Work closely with product and project managers to manage product releases or significant components of releases and create sound user stories, provide oversight of technology outputs, and conduct user acceptance testing.
      Develop deep understanding of client’s use of digital banking specifically in areas of account information/details and common platform functions. Document general and segment-specific use cases, requirements and associated communication materials for satisfied, target and gap functionality. Accurately solicit and represent the “voice of the customer” where required.
      Keep abreast of competitive products and industry trends, and look to incorporate relevant products within our digital ecosystem starting with pilots/proof of concepts to launching them into production.
      During the implementation phase of the project, work directly with developers and integration specialists to design, configure and test applications to ensure functionality is delivered as expected and as described in the business requirements.
    • Ability to plan and work with little direct supervision effectively in a highly complex, entrepreneurial and (often) high pressure environment.
    • Given the Bank’s delivery of many technology solutions and related services through third party vendors and cross-functional teams, a significant part of these activities involves working closely and effectively with multiple cross-functional teams and third party vendors.
    • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
    • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

    Qualifications

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 

    • Deep experience with Business Analysis and Product Management and, ideally financial services, specifically Consumer Banking
    • Experience soliciting, gathering, analyzing, user input and developing/reviewing user stories
    • Expertise in software implementation projects using Agile
    • Implementation and execution focused with hands-on, ‘roll up your sleeves’ experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to deliver presentations across the firm.

    Education/work experience:

    • Undergraduate degree required
    • 5+ years of business analysis and/or product management experience required, digital based services preferred
    • 2+ years of experience in banking and/or consumer digital experience required

    Physical Requirements: 

    • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
    • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
    • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
    • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
    • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
