The Commercial Servicing Specialist is primarily responsible for boarding and updating all types of accounts to the AFS loan accounting system including complex bookings from both the Business and Commercial Real Estate product lines. This includes the handling of payments and advances, reviewing and understanding all types of loan documentation, processing of outside council bookings, maintenance transactions of various complexities, monitoring and updating collateral, producing monthly and quarterly reporting, and responding to questions from both internal departments and clients.




  • Review and validate loan details and accurately create and upate accounts as appropriate.
  • Accurately and efficiently process financial and non-financial transactions to loan accounts.
  • Disburse construction draws and reconcile Funds Control and Budget information.
  • Create and monitor the monthly Interest Reserve report and reconcile with Funds Control.
  • Monitor and satisfy real estate tax payments on behalf of the client and update the loan information accordingly to recover funds over the established payment period.
  • Work with internal business partners at various levels to research and translate account information.
  • Work directly with clients to research items of various complexities while bringing situations to a successful and timely resolution.Satisfy taxes and insurance on behalf of the client and update the loan accordingly to recover funds over the established payment period.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities or as assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank




Internal Contacts:

Interaction required with individuals within the organization at several levels.


External Contacts: Includes verbal and written interaction on moderately complex items where customer/vendor interaction includes basic loan information or scripted responses to obtain a successful resolution.

Process and deadline oriented.

  • Must possess intermediate working knowledge of MS Word/ MS Excel/ MS Outlook/MS Access.
  • Familiarity with the following loan products a plus: Term Loans, Lines of Credit, Commercial Real Estate, Construction Loans, Film & Media Lending, Standby Letters of Credit, and SBA Lending

Education, Experience, Training, or Certifications/Licenses:

  • Required: High School diploma and at least 2 years of experience in loan operations or related lending experience.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of AFS, CLO and/or OnBase.

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
  • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel as position requires.
  • May be required to lift 25-50lbs.
