    This Senior Reporting Associate will focus on the development of Asset Under Management (AUM) and Senior Management Finance reports, in support of the wealth management team’s portfolio billing and reporting function. This position reports to the SVP, Billing Operations and will also be responsible for helping to enhance and streamline existing reports and operations processes.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Establish and build a metadata repository to define connections between data arrays. Develop and administer a SQL based data repository for use in Data Management reporting.
    • Extract and analyze data, patterns, and related trends, and synthesize the data into information consumable by Senior Management decision-makers.
    • Create and refine department data flow documents. Establish data quality rules, writing and execute data quality checks, researching and analyzing data in support of business functions, and suggest enhancements to continuously improve workflow, as well as existing reporting and processes.
    • Recognize and investigate data inconsistencies, providing explanation and potential solutions to maintain data integrity.
    • Work with subject matter experts to determine data requirements; conduct design sessions and technical reviews with end users.
    • Provide production support and troubleshooting for departmental reporting in SQL, Excel, or other tools.
    • Work independently and as part of a group to analyze data from multiple sources to prepare complex management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis.
    • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

     

     

    Experience & Education:

    • BA or BS in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or Computer Science
    • 7+ years of relevant experience in data analysis and/or business intelligence
    • 5+ years of relevant work experience with background in wealth management and/or reporting/portal
    • Knowledge of Private Wealth Management/Investment Management – with ability to interpret definitions and calculations from business language to developer logic.
    • Experience with portfolio management and related reporting.

    Technical Skills:

    • BI Tools – Required (Tableau preferred); Strong visualization design and development experience
    • Intermediate SQL – Required
    • Expert Excel (VBA, Macro Design) - Required
    • Proven track record of leading business critical BI/Analytics projects
    • Ability to operate with cross-functional teams
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills - ability to quickly analyze data to identify key insights and apply them to the business
    • Clear, high-level understanding of complex data models and software integration/delivery
    • Focus on development/ improvement of data to support continuous evolution of a more competitive and profitable Bank
    • Excellent communication skills, including ability to present effectively to both business and technical audiences at all levels of the organization
    • Strong orientation to clients, including demonstrated ability to understand needs and apply this knowledge to drive data enhancements
