Responsible for assisting RM with day to day duties which may include a variety of analytical, underwriting and customer service oriented tasks.  The position represents a liaison between RM and Private Banking Officers, Wealth Management professionals, lending personnel and clients.  Responsibilities include but not limited to preparing pre-approval letters, responding to client inquires, and identifying cross sell opportunities to the RM.

Responsibilities

Support the loan process:

  • Prepare pre-approval letters
  • Send out initial loan application and needs list
  • Loan processing, loan analysis and underwriting
    • SFR & commercial loans
  • Create rate breakdowns based on loan information
  • Stack loan files
  • Identify cross sell opportunities to the Relationship Manager
  • Gather loan documentation on the “needs list”, request missing items from clients 

Provide excellent customer service:

  • Follow-up with clients on the status of opening accounts
  • Update clients on the status of the loan process 
  • Mail out loan applications
  • Respond to incoming communications and direct client inquiries to ensure proper resolution
  • Answer general loan servicing questions

Assist with special marketing projects:

  • Coordinate distribution of marketing mailers
  • Coordinate client event invitation lists
  • Contact customers to explain new marketing campaign
  • Coordinate broker opens
  • Assist with special projects and events

Provide administrative support:

  • Mail out realtor rate sheets
  • Prepare cross-sell reports and distribute as necessary
  • Assist with maturity reports reviews and renewals
  • Prepare any due Quarterly Status Reports
  • Increase RM’s efficiency through tasks specified by RM

Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities or as assigned by supervisor.

 

Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Underwriting experience required in the following
    • SFR & Commercial
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Provides extraordinary service.
  • Furthers the First Republic Bank culture and values.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word / MS Outlook /  MS PowerPoint/ MS Excel.

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years mortgage banking experience with an emphasis on building customer relationships and providing excellent customer service and underwriting.

Preferred:

  • College degree. 

Mental/Physical Requirements:

 

  • The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
  • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel as position requires.
  • May be required to lift up to 15 lbs.
