The compensation analyst will administer, maintain and provide analytical/consultative support of incentive compensation plans at First Republic Bank. We are looking for someone with excellent analytical skills and communication to join our growing Compensation team. We work closely together as team and interact with Human Resource Business Partners, Bankers and manager across the bank to support compensation needs for the different lines of businesses. 

Responsibilities

  • Understand and learn the various compensation plans for our Bankers
  • Execute on the day to day operations of loading source data from multiple source systems that support compensation payouts into the IBM Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) System
  • Provide support to implement and configure incentive compensation plans using IBM ICM system
  • Maintain monthly/quarterly incentive payment analysis and calculate required financial and compensation reports for accounting, payroll and senior management
  • Implement and execute on effective internal controls to ensure integrity of incentive payments with great attention to detail
  • Respond to incentive plan inquiries, which include conducting research and preparing related adjustments and documenting supporting calculations
  • Partner with HRBP’s to consult with the business to support and solve any compensation related issues
  • Partner with the compensation operations team to further improve the compensation systems
  • Assist in SOX testing and development and testing of internal controls

Qualifications

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or Human Resources
  • 3-5 years of business or financial analysis
  • 2-3 years of experience as a compensation analyst, preferably in banking
  • Advanced reporting, analytical and data modeling skills a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with familiarity of Access databases and running queries in SQL
  • Ability to independently prioritize competing schedules, proactively anticipate and complete tasks
  • Ability to solve problems by researching source data and system logic for calculations
  • Excellent written communication skills
