    We are looking to hire a Junior Equity Research Associate who has experience working with the analysis and valuation of publicly traded equities. The Associate will be tasked primarily with preparing written notes and reports that analyze investment prospects from a fundamental perspective and to make actionable recommendations based on that analysis.

    The Associate will also be expected to support their recommendations verbally to wealth managers. A specific sector focus is not required.  We are an entrepreneurial and fast-growing firm, and so the junior analyst will also be expected to contribute his or her time to a variety of ad hoc projects and endeavors that are undertaken by the firm’s wealth managers and senior management in the pursuit of securing new business and servicing our clients.

    Responsibilities

    The Associate will be expected to assume research coverage of a subset of the firm’s equity holdings and will be asked also to generate new investment ideas in those sectors.   On an ongoing basis, the Associate will need to stay up-to-date with news stories, earnings reports, etc. on all of the companies in their coverage universe. Additionally, the Associate will be expected to work as part of the firm’s Research Team that reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer. In that capacity, the Associate will be required to have a broad understanding of economic data and developments from around the world, understand the firm’s strategic asset allocation guidelines and the positioning of the managers on its investment platform, and assist with the preparation of written communications that are sent out to clients.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 2-5 years of investment related experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on finance, accounting or economics
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
    • A demonstrated ability to be a STRONG WRITER and a good public speaker
    • A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team

    Desired:

    • NASD Series 7, 65/66
    • CFA charterholders or candidates
