    The Lending Strategy, Products & Sales Department of First Republic Bank provides mortgage loan pricing to the Bank, establishes and maintains relationships with loan purchasers, sells any and all loan assets for the Bank, creates loan products, monitors the mortgage market, and works with Relationship Managers and their Loan Teams and Executive Loan Committee to provide training to facilitate the origination of residential, multifamily, and commercial real estate mortgages.
    The Rate Lock Desk Associate’s primary responsibility is to monitor and respond to inquiries and requests received via the Desk’s email address and phone line. This would typically include locking portfolio and investor loans, answering questions regarding loan programs and guidelines and assisting Loan Teams in correctly pricing their loans.



    • Evaluate loans for adherence to program guidelines and pricing.  Perform rate lock and approval functions in loan origination system.
    • Assist Loan Teams with rate lock and loan program questions/issues.
    • Educate/train Loan Teams on pricing loans, including the use of the loan origination system and loan pricing engine.
    • Interact with purchasers of loans and manage loan sale documentation and process
    • Assist with any and all projects as needed for the department, such as software implementation and testing, changes to loan programs and changes due to regulatory requirements.
    • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.





    • College degree
    • Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word
    • Comfort working with new technology 
    • Knowledge of SQL or similar programming language a plus
    • Familiarity with mortgage lending or banking environment a plus

    • The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
    • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
    • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
    • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
    • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
    • Must be able to travel as position requires.
    • May be required to lift 25-50lbs.
