    The Senior Financial Planning Associate will support First Republic’s Senior Financial Planners who are responsible for the design, implementation and administration of comprehensive financial plans for the firm’s high net worth private clients (generally $10MM in assets and above). The position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to build a career in financial planning. Responsibilities range from providing internal support to financial planning professionals and back office operations to acting as the first point of contact for individual clients.

    • Assisting in the preparation of financial plans for high net worth clients
    • Assisting with the preparation of client correspondences, engagement letters, documents and presentations
    • Performing data entry and utilizing financial planning software packages
    • Managing and maintaining sensitive client information
    • Track client engagements and maintain ongoing metrics for client assets
    • Coordinating with private banking and wealth management teams and internal resources
    • Assist with invoicing for financial planning clients
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and a familiarity with or ability to be trained on NumberCruncher and/or WealthTec




    • Required: Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on accounting, finance or economics. 

    The Senior Financial Planning Associate will be an aspiring team player with a sincere desire to play a supporting role to a growing Financial Planning business. Importantly, the individual should demonstrate dynamic analytical and technical abilities, impeccable communication skills and strong attention to detail.


    The successful candidate will demonstrate:


    • Strong interest in financial planning; experience with complicated planning a plus
    • Foundation in essential planning concepts (estates & trusts, insurance, stock options, taxes, cash flow planning) 
    • Basic knowledge of investments and financial markets
    • Familiarity with banking and wealth management products and services
    • Strong analytical and technical abilities
    • Willingness to be in a support role and handle administrative tasks
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under high pressure
    • Strong communication and follow-up skills 
    • Sound judgment and reasoning abilities
    • A “high touch” client service approach
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial planning or an analytical role
