    The Digital Technology Portal Tech Lead is focused on executing of the Digital Channels strategy and roadmap and partner closely with Digital Channel. Solutions will be in support of an integrated financial service experience incorporating banking, brokerage, wealth management, trust, …etc.


     


    The role will be focused on both new technology development as well as providing support for existing solutions, including mobile, analytics, web development, content, self-service support tools, search and social media in an integrated model in alignment with FRB digital strategies, core business systems and architecture.


     


    As a  Digital Technology Portal Tech Lead, you will lead a development team and will work closely with multiple business groups, including Digital Channels, Enterprise Architecture, Engineering and Tech Operations, Quality Assurance, Change Management and other business and technology teams to ensure solutions are in alignment with overall strategies. You and your team will work with vendors and offshore QA/development teams as necessary to develop, implement and integration solutions.

    Responsibilities


    • Establish and maintain strong business partnership with the Digital Channel team.
      Lead and educate internal teams on common practices and trends for digital initiatives.

    • Service new and exiting client needs, to include planning and management of performance optimization, software updates, disaster recovery, website and application migrations, problem management around anticipated traffic surges.

    • Provide integrated solutions across internal systems as well as external 3rd party hosted systems.

    • Keeping up-to-date on new technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to rapid changing digital environment.

    • Understand business changes and needs. Partner and collaborate with business teams to provide robust, scalable and extensible technical solutions.

    • Lead and participate in new development projects through the entire SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, release, delivery/launch and maintenance.

    • Create and maintain a strong working relationship with multiple business teams, technology teams and key vendors.     
      Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.

    • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.

    • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank. 

    Qualifications


    • Requires a 6+ or more years professional experience in software development specially including online and mobile app delivery; preferably 3 or more years related to online/portal product deliver to external clients.

    • Requires strong communication skills and track record of partnership across organizations.

    • Requires strong track record of managing multiple priorities an competing demands.

    • Requires working knowledge of security techniques applicable to web and mobile application delivery.

    • Requires experience working with vendors to deliver integrated solutions to external clients (integration across a mix of internal and external 3rd party systems).

    • Required: 3+ years portal architecture, development and deployment.

    • Desired: In depth experience leveraging Portal technology to create sites that aggregate transactions and content from local data sources, web services and cloud based web solutions.

    • Desired: 2+ years JSF with RIA libraries.

    • Desired: 4+ years J2EE Web Development

    • Desired: User experience design and development using one or more of the following tools: AJAX, Javascript, jQuery, HTML, CSS.

    • Desired: 2+ years developing mobile ready web sites using responsive web design frameworks (ex. Bootstrap).

    • Undergraduate degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline.

    Mental/Physical Requirements:



    • The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.

    • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.

    • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.

    • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

    • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
