    One of the key components to successfully managing risk is having the right tools. Enterprise Risk Management sponsors the Archer eGRC platform and collaborates with our business partners to build integrated and efficient risk and business activities. Our Archer eGRC Business Analyst is the primary connector between our business partners and our system developers in articulating business problems and finding the functional solution in Archer. This high-paced, self-driven role manages multiple, concurrent use cases in a collaborative environment. Keys to success in this role include: listening to the needs of our business partners; ensuring that business requirements are clear and actionable; enabling the technology team to accurately translate the business requirements; and being responsive to business partner request and feedback.

     

    In addition to our business partners, the Archer eGRC Business Analyst works closely with the VP, Director of Enterprise Risk Management, the Archer Project Manager, other Archer eGRC Analysts, and the Regulatory Compliance Technology team to deliver high quality use cases and enhancements.

    Responsibilities

    Use Case Development and Documentation:

    • Design solutions using standard business analysis and design techniques such as user stories (including success criteria), user interaction, business process and information flow modeling, use case definition, and workflow analysis
    • Facilitate interviews with business partners to elicit and document requirements using process models, data models, rule models, interface models and other tools and techniques to better understand and convey information.
    • Define and document business requirements in the Business Requirements Document
    • Capture and document requirements in Team Foundation Server (TFS) to ensure consistency with Archer Developers and Quality Assurance 

    Deployment Support:

    • Partner with cross functional teams to produce technical documentation including System Design and Functional Specification
    • Assist business process owners in preparing data for migration into Archer
    • Assist business process owners with creation of detailed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts and facilitate UAT sessions with business users
    • Work closely with Archer Developers and Quality Analysts to ensure delivered solutions meet the businesses’ requirements
    • Create quick reference guides for end-users

    Post-Deployment Support:

    • Respond to user requests, production issues, and enhancements
    • Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for end-users

    Archer User/Application Support:

    • Manage product backlog; prioritize and monitor requests, issues, and risks; and escalate as needed
    • Assist with designing, implementing, and managing the user support model; administer user and stakeholder support
    • Support the VP, Director of Enterprise Risk Management and Project Manager on project-related items and advise on efforts required to perform assigned tasks
    • Prepare, maintain, and submit progress reports
    • Regular communication of work status and all issues to project manager

    Extending Archer’s Use:

    • Conduct business intelligence presentations and demonstrations to leadership, users, and partners

    Ad hoc Projects:

    • Participate in ad hoc projects, particularly those that leverage Archer knowledge

     

    Qualifications

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 

    • Possess an understanding of key Archer platform features such as data driven events, calculated fields, reporting, access control, and notification templates is a plus
    • Possess a basic knowledge of enterprise risk management concepts and its goals within a financial institution
    • Ability to identify inefficiencies in a process and recommend solutions
    • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail
    • Demonstrate excellent client management and communication skills
    • Self-motivated, good time management skills, and ability to complete tasks with a sense of urgency
    • Demonstrate solid organizational skills, with the ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment, and meet deadlines with quality results

    Mental/Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions
    • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals, and computer screens
    • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person
    • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions
    • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
