    First Republic has an immediate need for an experienced copywriter/creative strategist to join our Marketing team. This is a key role within the department and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working both on agency and client sides. The ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining a high level of creativity are key skills for this position. A proven track record of dedication and commitment to going above and beyond to deliver extraordinary service to colleagues and clients alike will also be essential attributes of the right candidate.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Work directly with Marketing Communications Team to create, proofread and edit content for digital and print, including brochures, letters, flyers, promotions, email templates, presentations, proposals and website pages
    • Work as part of the creative team to concept, storyboard and refine ideas to present to decision makers
    • Partner with other departments to translate product offerings and new initiatives into content for various media and verify accuracy
    • Develop strong understanding of product offerings to discern what’s appropriate to include in each piece of collateral
    • Become expert in brand voice and style
    • Translate financial, legal or technical terminology into clear, conversational language
    • Create intelligent, original and effective copy to drive brand awareness, growth and engagement across multiple channels
    • Work closely with the Compliance and Legal teams to vet and approve final versions
    • Partner with designers and external vendors to make content come to life
    • Deliver consistent, accurate and high-quality content
    • Wear various ‘marketing hats,’ when needed

    Qualifications

    Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    • Desired Skills and Experience:
    • Degree in Communications/Public Relations/Advertising
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an agency and internal marketing department required
    • Financial copywriting experience an advantage
    • Experience in the luxury goods arena preferred
    • Possess a strong command of grammar, spelling and style
    • Eye for design/layout/formatting
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
    • Accountable for meeting tight deadlines and must possess a strong sense of urgency
    • Other important characteristics include a strong work ethic, self-starter, strong attention to detail, creative and a team player to ensure positive fit with company culture
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, familiarity with design software and email marketing tools
    • Must have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Strong strategic and organizational abilities
    • Must pay attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture

    Mental/Physical Requirements:

    • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
    • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
    • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
    • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
    • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
