    We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join our Palo Alto-based team as a Marketing and Business Development Associate.

     

    Additional information:

    First Republic Investment Management (FRIM) is an SEC-Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) owned by First Republic Bank. Our team within FRIM traces its roots to Constellation Wealth Advisors, a fast-growing independent RIA that was purchased by FRIM in September 2015. We work exclusively with high net worth clients. Typical clients include entrepreneurs, corporate executives, non-profits, and partners in venture capital, private equity, real estate, and law.

     

    Our team consists 26 professionals in two locations (Palo Alto and New York City). In total, there are 10 client-facing Wealth Managers and 16 supporting team members, and we are looking to expand with the new addition of a Marketing and Business Development Associate.

    Responsibilities

    The Marketing and Business Development Associate will work closely with our team’s ten client-facing Wealth Managers to help uncover and develop new business opportunities. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Strategically identify potential client opportunities from the Wealth Manager’s extensive networks, generating new leads and uncovering high-value opportunities
    • Research and gather business intelligence about prospective clients and trends in opportunities
    • Prepare and send strategic emails to prospective clients specific to their financial needs, with the purpose of generating interest in working with the team
    • Support Practice Management in all aspects of the sales cycle, including scheduling follow-up meetings, managing administrative elements, and overseeing the pipelines of completed meetings to ensure all prospective clients are being contacted throughout the year
    • Proactively construct and implement recommendations and projects that will enhance operations, optimize automation, and increase the number of meetings with new prospective clients
    • Work with the Wealth Managers and colleagues to ensure timely updating of all marketing materials
    • Prepare targeted presentations in a manner that effectively communicates the team’s relevant experience and articulates our added value

    Qualifications

    • Excellent writing, analytical, research and organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail
    • Ability to comfortably navigate CRM software and relationship management programs, including ACT!, Relationship Science, Crunchbase, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn. If no experience with these programs, a demonstrated capability to learn technology systems quickly
    • Experience managing a large database and maintaining data integrity
    • Ability to thrive in an unstructured, demanding role/environment
    • Forward-thinking and solutions-oriented approach at all times
    • Goal and action orientation with ability and desire to work towards revenue targets within a team environment
    • Poise, confidence, and maturity to interact with senior level clients
    • High level of discretion and tact regarding confidential matters and identities
    • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills
    • Bachelor’s degree
