    First Republic Bank is looking for a talented, motivated Learning & Development professional with strong experience in the financial services sector to join the Lending Services team. The Lending Services department oversees operations for all Residential, Commercial, and Commercial Real Estate loans opened and serviced with First Republic Bank. The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing relevant & engaging training programs, policies & procedures (P&P), and desktop procedures pertaining to the processing, opening, and servicing of residential loans for all residential loan teams and residential closing staff.  The L&D Manager will partner with other business support groups throughout the Bank, including Systems Applications, Regulatory Risk Management, Lending Strategy/Products/Sales, RM Team Support, and Executive Loan Committee to identify, develop, and implement compliance, processing, and business systems training programs for these internal clients.  The L&D Manager will utilize robust corporate training skills and experience, along with identified subject-matter experts, to design and manage a consistent training schedule.  The L&D Manager will develop relationships within First Republic to understand the changing needs for training.

    Responsibilities

    Additionally, you will:

     

    • Develop and deliver monthly process-, systems-, and compliance-related training to internal clients (i.e., residential loan teams & residential closing staff)
    • Publish & maintain up-to-date process- and systems-related user guides, including department P&P
    • Regularly meet with supervisors & managers of our internal clients to provide learning metrics and to better understand training needs.
    • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities or as assigned by supervisor.
    • Responsibilities include the following: 1)adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.); 2)adhering to Bank policies and procedures; 3) completing required training; 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer; and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience in corporate financial training.
    • Excellent verbal & written business communication skills.

    • Strong self-starter able to operate efficiently in a fast paced environment.
    • Quick learner and ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with staff at various levels of seniority.
    • Furthers the First Republic Bank culture and values
    • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, such as Cornerstone
    • Knowledge or experience using recording/ video editing software, such as Camtasia or Captivate
