  • Overview

    As a member of our Internal Audit Team, the Internal Audit Manager– Information Technology will work closely with the Bank’s various Information Technology groups and other lines of business to assess risk, design and effectiveness of controls across organizational processes.


    The Internal Audit IT Manager will be responsible for planning and executing Information Technology audits and providing control consultation on programmatic, operational, risks and controls throughout the Bank and its subsidiaries.


    1. Plan and execute Information Technology (IT) audits, including identifying risks, planning audits, managing competing priorities, leading audit interviews, executing on control testing, preparing workpapers, reviewing audit related documentation, reviewing action plans with appropriate management, preparing audit reports and validating issues.
    2. Assist with developing and implementing an annual audit plan by assessing all relevant risk factors, considering management’s expectations of Internal Audit’s strategic involvement throughout the organization and with outside vendors.
    3. Ensure the overall quality through consistency, risk management and adherence to department and professional standards for internal audits, identifying opportunities for process improvement and continuous monitoring.
    4. Participate in continuous monitoring for risks within implementation projects and changes to the control environment.
    5. Be recognized as a leader, management consultant and internal controls expert; develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with operations and information systems management, learning and understanding the business to better provide value-added services, help management achieve objectives, and enhance customer satisfaction.
    6. Manage multiple administrative functions such as budgets, scheduling resources, recruiting, metrics analysis, etc.
    7. Provide risk identification, security and audit control input for system development projects and other initiatives.
    8. Assist in defining, refining, implementing and maintaining the Company’s audit process, including department standards and procedures that will be overseen by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
    9. Maintain professional certification(s) and continue to develop and expand knowledge of the audit profession, information systems, bank regulatory issuances, our industry, and Company products and information through self-study, research, and continuing education efforts.
    10. Participate and support data analytics through internal audits and risk assessments.
    11. Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.

    12. Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank


    Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Minimum 4 years of demonstrated internal audit management experience; “Big 4” public accounting/consulting experience highly desirable.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing direct reports and demonstrated ability to develop people
    • BS/BA degree required; related technical field is preferred.
    • Professional certification, such as CISSP, CIA, CISA, CISM, CPA, is preferred.
    • Sound knowledge and experience in information technology audit, systems design and management, security, and client server technologies.
    • Able to work in a high growth environment.
    • Banking experience a strong plus.
    • Understanding of security software, database technology, applications and Internet technologies.
    • Demonstrated strong project management and organization skills with successful experience in concurrently managing multiple projects at varying levels of technical difficulty.
    • Ability to critically analyze and assess the adequacy of internal controls and opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to work and communicate with technical resources as well as business process owners.
    • Excellent ability to review documentation with attention to quality.
    • Work directly with the Vice President- Internal Audit IT.
    • Self-starter who excels at learning new processes and business functions.
    • Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team environment and independently as an individual contributor, demonstrating a continuous commitment to improvement.
    • Knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, ISO17799, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and COSO control frameworks.
    • Provides extraordinary service.

    Mental/Physical Requirements:

    • The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
    • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
    • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
    • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
    • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
    • No travel required.
    • May be required to lift 25-50lbs.
