    The Wealth Manager Recruiting Manager (West Coast) is a key member of the Private Wealth Management (PWM) Recruiting Team, supporting Executive Management in successfully identifying and hiring established senior investment professionals into PWM. The role will engage with all aspects of PWM and provide an excellent introduction to all elements of the fast growing PWM business. This role touches all elements of the recruiting cycle including recruiting, onboarding, and integration into PWM. Among other important responsibilities, the incumbent will coordinate candidates, help incoming wealth management teams learn more about PwM, and help prepare to transition books of business to Private Wealth Management. This person will be a primary point of contact for incoming teams as well as prepare for the arrival of new hires by working with internal colleagues (Research, Onboarding, Marketing, Compliance, Information Services, Access & Identity Management, Information Services, and Administrative Services) to ensure new hires have all tools and resources available to immediately serve clients upon joining PWM. The role supports PWM’s recruitment efforts by providing assistance with scheduling, meeting logistics, and maintaining the recruiting pipeline report. Finally this role will help integrate new Wealth Management teams into the broader Bank and Wealth Management organization. Some travel to other First Republic Bank locations may be necessary.

    Responsibilities

    • Serving as a key point of contact for new Wealth Management Teams throughout the recruiting and onboarding process
    • Analyzing a prospective team’s business to evaluate portability of the underlying investments
    • Partnering with the incoming team to identify client situations that may require extra planning to ensure a smooth transition
    • Assisting with drafting and distributing internal and external announcements and press releases regarding a new hire
    • Partnering with Compliance to complete the regulatory summary of new investment professionals’ experience
    • Collaborating with Marketing to create collateral including PWM biographies of new hires
    • Partnering with the PWM Legal team for due diligence and agreement generation and review
    • Working closely with Human Resources to help the prospective new teams through the application and background check process as well as coordinating the delivery and execution of offer letters
    • Completing New Wealth Manager Hire Review Package for Executive Management 
    • Working with Administrative Services to ensure entry badges and parking passes (as applicable) are prepared in advance
    • Building out infrastructure through implementing and formalizing processes to increase efficiency and transparency of Wealth Manager recruiting efforts
    • Ordering business cards, announcement cards, and other collateral as needed
    • Assisting with scheduling, logistics, updating the recruiting pipeline report and filing expense reports
    • Participating in the development of department policies and/or procedures
    • Executing clear and concise communications across the Recruiting Team and to Executive Management to keep everyone abreast of status and developments
    • Responsibilities include the following:  1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank. 

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field of study
    • At least 5 years of experience in financial services with exposure to asset management
    • Series 7 license preferred
    • Ability to further the First Republic Bank culture and value
    • Ability to multi-task with strong time management and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
    • Self-starter and entrepreneurial mentality
    • Highly motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities
    • Ability to be a team player with positive energy

    • Series 7 license preferred
    • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
    • Ability to travel to other locations as needed

    Physical requirements:

    • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
    • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
    • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
    • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
    • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
