  • Overview

    As a key member of the Enterprise Data and Client Insights (EDCI) team, this position will play an important role in the Bank’s data governance program and related policies, processes and reporting. Working with other members of the EDCI team, technology and lines of business, this individual will support the execution of the data governance program.
    • Execute the policy, framework and strategy of records lifecycle management
    • Implement and manage a records management program enterprise-wide
    • Support the Bank’s data governance and data quality programs (policy, standards and controls)
    • Promote the adoption of on-going Data Governance and Data Quality routines with key business partners

    Responsibilities

    • Drive the ongoing development of information governance strategy
    • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure that records management policies, standards and guidelines, including records retention schedules, are kept up to date and implemented effectively
    • Manage communications among key stakeholders in matters relating to management of records/information assets
    • Work with business liaisons to ensure compliance with the Bank’s Information & Records Management & Governance Policy
    • Implement best practices to mitigate legal and operational risk while balancing operational and reporting demands
    • Leads and participates in projects; manages scope and schedule to meet project deliverables
    • Promote risk management, project management, and process-improvement practices
    • Work with business units’ liaisons to develop and manage department inventories to ensure compliance with the Bank’s policy and standards
    • Identify, train, and lead a team of records management champions across the organization to support the records management program
    • Conduct periodic reviews with each line of business to ensure compliance with policy and standards
    • Define records/information taxonomies and metadata
    • Develop and monitor relevant KPIs and KRIs
    • Design and deliver management reporting focusing on project status and operational KPIs
    • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of process design, data flows, taxonomy, and related controls/ procedures
    • Preparation of materials for key data governance meetings (e.g., Data Champions, Oversight Committee)
    • Responsible for understanding data from the enterprise perspective and managing it in such a way that it can be understood and leveraged across the organization
    • Other responsibilities may include reference data, master data management, and EUC governance processes
    • Responsibilities include: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

    Qualifications

    Experience:
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in information management, records management, and lifecycle governance
    • 5 - 7 years of experience working at a financial institution
    • Implementation of records management and information governance frameworks, strategies, priorities, policies, and guidelines
    • Management of sensitive information with the highest degree of care and integrity
    • Development of KPIs and KRIs in collaboration with key stakeholders, business areas
    • Broad exposure to data governance/ data management concepts and technologies
    • Analytical skills to collect and profile data and compute key metrics (e.g., KPIs, KRIs)
    • Process design experience with process optimization mindset
    • Project management or change management experience
    • Extensive experience presenting content to various audiences including senior management
    • Consulting background or experience in consultative role working closely with business stakeholders
    • Excellent presentation and documentation skills
    • Requires proficiency with varied computer and network operating systems
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Experience with BI reporting, including data visualization tools (desired)
    • Proficient SQL skills (desired)
    • Experience with data management technologies and tools (e.g., MDM, ETL, Collibra) (desired)
    • Professional certification, or progress towards one, preferred in one or more of the following: Information Governance Professional, Project Management Professional, Certified Records Manager, Certified Information Professional (desired)
