    First Republic Bank is looking for a motivated lending professional for the Lending Services department. The Insurance Services Specialist will be working in the Collateral Portfolio Monitoring team which is tasked to process insurance-related inquires. You will work to ensure that First Republic Bank continues to provide the highest levels of customer service by successfully maintaining optimal productivity levels

    Responsibilities

    Additionally you will:

    • Respond to client requests accurately and in a timely manner via the team’s shared email inbox and shared phone line.
    • Investigate accounts where insurance has lapsed and work with relationship managers, insurance agents, clients and third party servicers to obtain appropriate coverage.
    • Process billings to ensure insurance policies are paid timely and correctly.
    • Prepare manual escrow analysis and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
    • Balance financial transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Review, create and maintain insurance procedures in order to maintain compliance with regulatory matters and ensure that the Company’s standards are continuously upheld.
    • Perform quality control reviews to ensure procedures are followed.
    • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities or as assigned by senior management.
    • Responsibilities include the following: 1)adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.); 2)adhering to Bank policies and procedures; 3) completing required training; 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer; and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or lending, with a strong customer service background preferred.
    • Experience with the insurance services arena is a plus.
    • Passion for delivering extraordinary service.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts in a way that’s easy to understand.
    • Must be able to work independently, efficiently, and possess good organization and prioritization skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks within strict time constraints.
    • Possess strong interpersonal skills and maintain composure while dealing with difficult customers.
    • Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, notably MS Excel.
    • Experience with loan systems such as PowerLender, TotalPlus ML, and/or OnBase a plus.
    • Must be able to provide extraordinary service and have fun!
