The Business Development Associate will work closely with the Wealth Managers and their team to help uncover and develop new business opportunities. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Strategically identify potential client opportunities from the Wealth Managers’ extensivenetworks, generating new leads and uncovering high-value opportunities
•Pro-actively construct and implement recommendations and projects that will enhanceoperations, optimize automation, and increase the number of meetings with new prospectiveclients
•Analyze all aspects of the team’s business development efforts (including large data sets inSalesforce) to determine which avenues are most fruitful and adjust strategies appropriately
•Research and gather business intelligence about prospective clients and trends in opportunities
•Strategically prepare and send emails to prospective clients specific to their financial needs, withthe purpose of generating interest in working with the team
•Input and track all business development efforts in Salesforce and determine the best way toorganize and present the information to the Wealth Managers
•Support Management in all aspects of the sales cycle, including scheduling follow-up meetings,managing administrative elements, and overseeing the pipelines of completed meetings toensure all prospective clients are being contacted throughout the year
•Work with the Wealth Managers and colleagues to ensure timely updating of all marketingmaterials
•Prepare targeted presentations in a manner that effectively communicates the team’s relevantexperience and articulates our added value
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Ability to thrive in an unstructured, demanding role/environment
• Ability to comfortably navigate CRM software and relationship management programs, including Salesforce and Relationship Science. If no experience with these programs, a demonstrated capability to learn technology systems quickly
• Experience managing a large database and maintaining data integrity
• Poise, confidence, and maturity to interact with senior level Wealth Managers
• High level of discretion and tact regarding confidential matters and identities
• Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills
