    The Financial Planning Associate will be responsible for the oversight of multiple operational and administrative functions within the Financial Planning Group. The Financial Planning Associate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining internal bank relationships to promote Financial Planning Services to the $1-5 million net worth client segment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to build a career in financial planning. Responsibilities range from working with an internal support team, understanding financial planning software to acting as the first point of contact for individual clients.

    Responsibilities

    1. Group Administration
      • Organize group recurring meetings, calls, trainings, seminars, etc. for the Financial Planning Group.
    2. Financial Planning Agreements and Financial Planning Fees
      • Ensure Financial Planning Agreements are properly executed and records maintained centrally
      • Ensure proper fee collection and credits are recorded and applied
    3. Financial Planning Program and eMoney
      • Oversee and maintain the Financial Planning Program Policies & Procedures that includes:
        • Onboarding Wealth Managers to eMoney and tracking that the requirements are satisfied
        • Monitoring Wealth Manager usage
        • Conducting plan reviews to ensure adherence to policies
      • Coordinate and manage projects related to eMoney
        • Coordinating and setting agendas for bi-weekly calls with eMoney
        • Oversee and administer enhancements to eMoney software that include communications, training and testing as applicable. 
      • Client onboarding
        • Ensure appropriate documentation is properly executed
        • Assist with client data and information gathering to fulfill Financial Planning Agreement
        • Maintain client database
    4. Training
      • Administer operations for the Client Service Financial Planning Analyst training program
      • Administer operations for RM Fundamentals of Life Planning Course
      • Administer operations for eMoney training that includes coordinating webinars and other eMoney training sessions.
      • Oversee other Financial Planning training programs and initiatives as needed.
    5. Metrics and Reporting
      • Reporting and presentation of various metrics such as plan count, client referrals, RM referrals, Financial Planning Agreements, Net New Money, Financial Planning fees collected and/or waived, etc. across all Financial Planning Platforms that include Advanced Planning, Core Financial Planning and the Financial Planning Program.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will demonstrate:

    • Is a team player with a sincere desire to play a role in a growing Financial Planning business. The individual should demonstrate dynamic analytical and technical abilities, impeccable communication skills and strong attention to detail.
    • Strong interest in financial planning; experience with financial planning a plus
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and a familiarity with or ability to be trained on NumberCruncher, WealthTec, and eMoney software (prior experience with eMoney preferred)
    • Familiarity in planning concepts (estates & trusts, insurance, stock options, taxes, cash flow planning) 
    • Basic knowledge of investments and financial markets
    • Background and familiarity with banking and wealth management products and services
    • Strong analytical and technical abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under high pressure
    • Strong communication and follow-up skills 
    • Sound judgment and reasoning abilities
    • A “high touch” client service approach
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the financial planning business
    • Intellectual curiosity
    • Tax background or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation preferred but not required

    Mental/Physical Requirements:

    • Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens 
    • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at normal volume, including telephone calls and in person 
    • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions
    • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
    • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity
