    The Digital Channels team is responsible for client focused digital experiences that support our Consumer Private Banking, Corporate, and Private Wealth Management businesses. We are seeking a dynamic, organized leader to play a key role in supporting these efforts amidst the rapidly changing digital servicing and sales landscape.

    First Republic Bank’s Student Loan Refinance (SLR) loan is designed for professionals who can benefit from refinancing their outstanding loans into one simple monthly payment.The Senior Digital Product Manager – SLR is responsible for conception, delivery, maintenance and evolution of the digital SLR experience. This individual will work closely with Eagle Lending, other lines of business, and cross-functional teams within First Republic for end-to-end delivery of new functionality across multiple digital platforms (desktop, mobile, etc.).

     

    This role will involve a combination of working on digital strategy and new product initiatives, day-to-day support activities, engagement with bankers and clients and project related activities. While strategic thinking and coordination are important elements of this role, this individual will be required to take an active role leading and directly contributing to requirements, design, testing, deliverable preparation and other activities related to project delivery.

     

    What you'll do as a Senior Digital Product Manager:

    • Manage all aspects of the product life-cycle, including strategy, business vision, roadmap generation, user story creation, backlog grooming, sprint planning and release management.
    • Develop deep understanding of clients’ use of digital tools to manage their SLR loans. Actively engage with clients, Eagle Lending, and other lines of business to understand “voice of the customer.”
    • Participate in the capital planning process by defining the business case and budget requirements. Champion the product vision and roadmap to secure project funding.
    • Keep apprised of industry trends and shifts in the competitive landscape. Incorporate relevant products within our digital ecosystem starting with pilots/proof of concepts to launching them into production.
    • Monitor product utilization and performance. Recommend changes, enhancements or elimination of products, features, and/or services.
    • Understand the regulatory, legal and security context to maintain compliance and manage risk.
    • Lead of cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery of quality products. Oversee IS and QA partners. Conduct user acceptance testing.
    • Optimize the services of our partner vendors by effectively managing the relationships and their deliverables.
    • Define and analyze metrics that provide insight into the success of the digital delivery and utilize these metrics effectively for key product decisions
    • Perform activities specific to Digital Channels’ functions as assigned by supervisor.
    • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

    • Undergraduate degree required
    • 10+ years of product management experience required, digital based services preferred
    • 5+ years of experience in banking and/or consumer digital experience required
    • Deep experience with Digital Product Management and, ideally financial services. Prior experience with Consumer Digital Banking or Lending is strongly preferred.
    • Experience in defining the strategic roadmap for a product or products. Ability to communicate and champion that roadmap throughout the organization.
    • Ability to look at key client needs along with the latest technology trends impacting the financial services/fintech space.
    • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
    • Ability to manage competing demands of multiple internal stakeholders, business areas, and external providers to develop a roadmap and deliver high quality solutions.
    • Expertise in software implementation projects using Agile with hands on, “roll up your sleeves” experience.
    • Full Lifecycle ownership from ideation through to implementation and support.
    • A strong team player and leader with excellent planning and managerial skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to deliver presentations across the firm.
