    Vendor Management is responsible for managing the risks associated with conducting business with third-party vendors and defining a consistent program for First Republic’s vendor relationships. In the process, we fulfill the applicable legal, information security and regulatory requirements on behalf of the organization. We also work with business units to secure, risk assess and oversee all vendor services.

    The Manager, Contingent Workforce Program is directly responsible for ensuring the delivery of the workforce solution with the highest level of service and professionalism. Serving as Program Manager, this position oversees, plans, directs and supports operational duties in order to exceed expectations and delivery.  This role will oversee the implementation, development, and management of a Contingent Workforce solution for the Bank, including collaborating with internal stakeholders, data analysis, market research, supplier strategy, execute sourcing events, complete proposal analysis, supplier scope reviews, create a category plan, and present the results for approval from the business owners.


    As a member of the Shared Services team within First Republic the role will coordinate, support and partner with Vendor Management team to develop templates as well as manage through the contracts process ensuring business requirements and negotiated terms are accurate. Manages the on-boarding, on-going performance reviews, and off-boarding of the Vendors for this category.


    What you’ll do as a Manager, Contingent Workforce Program:

    • Establish and develop manager relationships within assigned program and expand existing manager relationships to ensure maximum internal customer satisfaction
    • Implement and manage sub-vendor / supplier program; ensure proper selection and solid negotiations in the sub-vendor and supplier contracting process
    • Plan, organize and conduct quarterly performance reviews of the sub-vendors to monitor their performance
    • Responsible for selection, hiring and training of staff personnel for the program. This includes performance evaluation, recruitment and retention.  Accountable for setting and managing performance expectations of staff, as well as training, motivating and encouraging for professional growth.
    • Contribute to the successful development and delivery of qualitative/ quantitative Quarterly Business Review (QBR), including latest industry trends, best practices internally and externally as well as potential program enhancements.
    • Build relationships with management and key contacts to ensure all current needs, expectations and performance objectives are being met or exceeded in a timely, proactive manner.
    • Track service levels and initiate process improvement when necessary.
    • Administration of Vendor Management System (VMS) technology to meet changing needs in reporting, tracking, and program management.


    You could be a great fit if you have:

    • Expert level customer service and concierge level support is expected to be provided in managing this category to both internal users as well as our service partners.
    • In-depth knowledge of Contingent Workforce category, services offered, and methodology, experience managing VMS providers a plus.
    • Systems experience using applications such as Coupa, Ariba, Scout, or other sourcing (RFx, Request for Information, Quote, Proposal and Reverse Auctions) as well as the corresponding toolsets used in managing a Contingent Workforce VMS such as Beeline, Fieldglass, DCR, or other software tools.
    • 7+ years of in-depth strategic and/or operational procurement experience with extensive knowledge of category management and advanced strategic sourcing, ideally with subject matter expertise in Contingent Workforce programs.

    Job Demands:
