    What you’ll do as a Senior Benefits Analyst:


    Program Administration

    • Provide support for escalated benefit questions and concerns coming from colleagues, internal team and other HR Partners
    • Manages Benefits Appeals process – investigates, researches, makes recommendations and prepares responses as required
    • Lead open enrollment project timeline and manage roll out of new programs
    • Analyze and organize carrier/vendor proposals and assist with negotiation
    • Prepare analysis report and assist with presentation
    • Lead mentor and first point of resolution to the Benefits Analyst team
    • Manage the monthly billing reconciliation process for all benefit plans
    • Oversee the development of all desk top procedures for benefit administrative tasks
    • Foster relationships with and offer benefit support to key program partners across the organization – payroll, accounting, HRIS, communications, etc.

    Benefit Program Management

    • Manage employee changes in Benefitsolver system, and partner with HRIS and Payroll on system improvement initiatives
    • Responsible for partnering with Businessolver team to ensure accurate processing of data files and feeds and resolve data issues as needed
    • Manage various benefits projects (i.e. new benefit programs) – Create project and communication plans; may lead others on the team
    • Provide analysis and recommendation to existing/new benefit programs

    Vendor Management

    • Review medical and prescription claims data and enrollment and utilization reports on a regularly scheduled basis
    • Learn reporting capabilities for each carrier and gather organized data provided
    • Create and generate benefit reports utilizing various systems from vendor partners to include monthly metrics/costs
    • Monitor stop-loss claims and reimbursement process
    • Develop a year-end stop loss monitoring program
    • Create and generate benefit reports utilizing various systems from vendor partners to include monthly metrics/costs
    • Monitor vendor process performance, report issues and participates in implementation of resolution
    • Monitor vendor service level agreements and escalates issues as necessary

    Annual Renewal Process

    • Review benefit broker annual renewals and check for accuracy and consistency
    • Work with benefit broker and executive team to make recommendations and draw conclusion based on data analysis for plan design changes, alternative funding alternative employer contribution recommendations, wellness and create executive summaries
    • Partner with benefit broker to create request for proposals to submit to carriers
    • Support ad hoc projects as requested


    You could be a great fit if you have:

    • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in U.S. Benefits
    • Deep understanding of benefits best practices and current trends
    • High attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another
    • Must be well organized, a strong team player and have confidence to work independently with a strong sense of follow through
    • Works under limited supervision. Uses independent judgment to make business decision
    • Ability to learn quickly and think independently, especially in a fast-paced environment
    • Collaborate and work cross-functionally to support team on ad hoc projects as needed
    • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, specifically MS Excel
    • Exceptional critical thinking and a desire to drive improvement using fact-based insights
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing effective colleague communications
    • Excellent customer service skills. Ability to handle confidential colleague information with discretion and good judgement
    • Knowledge with Benefitsolver administrative system a plus

    Job Demands:

    • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
