    The ACH Operations Specialist is responsible for providing support to the ACH Operations Team with primary focus on ACH Origination, ACH Processing, and Totalmatic.


    What you’ll do as an ACH Operations Specialist I:

    • Create ACH profiles in the ACH system, work with Corporate Online to set up profiles on client facing platforms. Prepare annual review documentation and ACH Originator assessments. Work with senior credit officers and senior management in Preferred Banking to obtain proper approval for ACH Limit requests.
    • Identify and process ACH origination exceptions throughout the day within required deadlines. 
    • Process high volume of ACH Processing requests within required deadlines. Serve as backup to individual team members.
    • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skill to interact with internal departments, business partners, and other financial institutions.
    • Ability to conduct complex research, and resolve internal client requests for all ACH related inquiries. 
    • Assist Bankers in completing ACH Origination documentations, obtaining ACH activities including Return ratio, and gathering relevant data pertaining to the request. 
    • Provide support for ACH Operations using excellent verbal and written communication skills via phone or email.
    • Must be a self-starter and have good sense of urgency. Perform routine responsibilities with limited supervision.
    • Assist in providing complex ad hoc reports for management. 
    • Work closely with management to ensure SLAs for the department are met.
    • Work closely with ACH team members on projects, system issues, and trainings.
    • Support the team in meeting daily, monthly, and month end certification deadlines.
    • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
    • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank. 



    You could be a great fit if you have:

    • Undergraduate or Associate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred;
    • Prior Financial Services. Bank operations experience preferred
    • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
    • Ability to understand and analyze large amounts of data
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
    • Ability to learn and comprehend new system processes
    • Reliability, flexibility, professional etiquette and sound judgment are important
    • Willingness to attain product knowledge
    • Proven ability to work cooperatively but also assume administrative responsibilities
