    The Director of Network Operations manages a team of technical professionals that provides critical operational support for Network, Security, Mobility and Voice/Video services for First Republic Bank.  The team is comprised of onshore and offshore resources providing round the clock coverage.  This role will be responsible for level  2 network operations, network, Firewall and Aplication Delivery Management (F5) changes and assist with major network project deployments as needed. In addition the team will be responsible for on going Performance and Capacity Management and SLA metrics, coordination with major vendors and Service Providers for problem Escalations and manage software upgrade lifecycle across all network devices.  The Director of Network Operations will set the direction, pace and targets for all three teams.  He/she will consistently pursue improvements in our services and drive overall efficiencies.


    What you’ll do as a Director Network Operations:

    • Provide technical leadership for the onshore and offshore Service Operations team.
    • Maintain the overall network operations, platform stability, security and reliability
    • Own and drive the overall performance measurement and reporting of services
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members
    • Continuously optimize the team’s processes and technical implementations to improve reliability, costs, and delivery speed to our internal clients
    • Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) relating to the service with business and internal IT team.
    • Establish sound practices for best in class and fully automated operational management of FRB’s networking environment


    What skills you will use:




    Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline or related experience



    The following certifications are highly desired but not required:

    • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
    • CCIE or CCNP (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) or (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
    • COBIT (framework – develop, implement monitor/improve IT governance and management practices)
    • ITIL (ITIL – set of detailed practices for IT service management)
    • PMP (Project Management Professional)


    Required Work Experience: 

    • A minimum of 8-10 years of network infrastructure and telecommunications operations experience
    • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience managing a network and/or telecommunications team or an infrastructure project management team
    • Leading the development and implementation of strategy and change plans that cross multiple information technology functions and an international geography.
    • Seasoned leader with strong technology experience including functional and domain knowledge.
    • Complex strategic transformation experience, such as outsourcing and internal IT process re-engineering of ITIL/ITSM processes.
    • Management of diverse teams including FTE, contractors, and consultants across geographies.
    • Broad knowledge of LAN, WAN, voice and video technologies (e.g., telephony, routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, structured wiring systems, and VoIP).
    • Broad knowledge of staple IT technologies (e.g., operating systems, servers, virtualization, storage , software development, and their related impacts as it pertains to network resources).
